Psalms 47

1 To him that excelleth. A Psalme committed to the sonnes of Korah. All people clap your hands: sing loude vnto God with a ioyfull voyce.

Mai marelui muzician, un psalm pentru fiii lui Core. Bateți din palme toate popoarele; strigați către Dumnezeu cu vocea triumfului.

2 For the Lord is high, and terrible: a great King ouer all the earth.

Pentru că DOMNUL cel preaînalt este înfricoșător; un mare Împărat peste tot pământul.

3 He hath subdued the people vnder vs, and the nations vnder our feete.

Va supune popoarele sub noi și națiunile sub picioarele noastre.

4 Hee hath chosen our inheritance for vs: euen the glory of Iaakob whom he loued. (Selah)

Va alege moștenirea noastră pentru noi, maiestatea lui Iacob, pe care l-a iubit. (Selah)

5 God is gone vp with triumph, euen the Lord, with the sound of the trumpet.

Dumnezeu s-a urcat cu un strigăt, DOMNUL cu sunetul unei trâmbițe.

6 Sing prayses to God, sing prayses: sing prayses vnto our King, sing prayses.

Cântați laude lui Dumnezeu, cântați laude, cântați laude Împăratului nostru, cântați laude.

7 For God is the King of all the earth: sing prayses euery one that hath vnderstanding.

Pentru că Dumnezeu este Împăratul întregului pământ, cântați laude cu înțelegere.

8 God reigneth ouer the heathen: God sitteth vpon his holy throne.

Dumnezeu domnește peste păgâni, Dumnezeu șade pe tronul sfințeniei sale.

9 The princes of the people are gathered vnto the people of the God of Abraham: for the shields of the world belong to God: he is greatly to be exalted.

Prinții popoarelor s-au adunat, poporul Dumnezeului lui Avraam, fiindcă scuturile pământului aparțin lui Dumnezeu, el este mult înălțat.
