Psalms 47

1 To him that excelleth. A Psalme committed to the sonnes of Korah. All people clap your hands: sing loude vnto God with a ioyfull voyce.

Przedniejszemu śpiewakowi z synów Korego pieśń. Wszystkie narody klaskajcie rękoma, wykrzykajcie Bogu głosem wesela.

2 For the Lord is high, and terrible: a great King ouer all the earth.

Albowiem Pan najwyższy, straszny, jest królem wielkim nad wszystką ziemią.

3 He hath subdued the people vnder vs, and the nations vnder our feete.

Podbija ludzi pod moc naszę, a narody pod nogi nasze.

4 Hee hath chosen our inheritance for vs: euen the glory of Iaakob whom he loued. (Selah)

Obrał nam za dziedzictwo nasze chwałę Jakóba, którego umiłował. (Sela)

5 God is gone vp with triumph, euen the Lord, with the sound of the trumpet.

Wstąpił Bóg z krzykiem; Pan wstąpił z głosem trąby.

6 Sing prayses to God, sing prayses: sing prayses vnto our King, sing prayses.

Śpiewajcież Bogu, śpiewajcie; śpiewajcież królowi naszemu, śpiewajcie.

7 For God is the King of all the earth: sing prayses euery one that hath vnderstanding.

Albowiem Bóg królem wszystkiej ziemi; śpiewajcież rozumnie.

8 God reigneth ouer the heathen: God sitteth vpon his holy throne.

Króluje Bóg nad narodami; Bóg siedzi na świętej stolicy swojej.

9 The princes of the people are gathered vnto the people of the God of Abraham: for the shields of the world belong to God: he is greatly to be exalted.

Książęta narodów przyłączyli się do ludu Boga Abrahamowego; albowiem Boże są tarcze ziemskie; skąd on zacnie jest wywyższony.
