Psalms 47

1 To him that excelleth. A Psalme committed to the sonnes of Korah. All people clap your hands: sing loude vnto God with a ioyfull voyce.

Zborovođi. Sinova Korahovih. Psalam. Narodi svi, plješćite rukama, kličite Bogu glasom radosnim.

2 For the Lord is high, and terrible: a great King ouer all the earth.

Jer Jahve je to - svevišnji, strašan, kralj velik nad zemljom svom.

3 He hath subdued the people vnder vs, and the nations vnder our feete.

Narode je nama podložio, pogane stavio pod noge naše,

4 Hee hath chosen our inheritance for vs: euen the glory of Iaakob whom he loued. (Selah)

baštinu nam odabrao - ponos Jakova, svoga ljubimca.

5 God is gone vp with triumph, euen the Lord, with the sound of the trumpet.

Uzlazi Bog uz klicanje, Jahve uza zvuke trublje.

6 Sing prayses to God, sing prayses: sing prayses vnto our King, sing prayses.

Pjevajte Bogu, pjevajte, pjevajte kralju našemu, pjevajte!

7 For God is the King of all the earth: sing prayses euery one that hath vnderstanding.

Jer on je kralj nad zemljom svom, pjevajte Bogu, pjevači vrsni!

8 God reigneth ouer the heathen: God sitteth vpon his holy throne.

Bog kraljuje nad narodima, stoluje Bog na svetom prijestolju.

9 The princes of the people are gathered vnto the people of the God of Abraham: for the shields of the world belong to God: he is greatly to be exalted.

Prvaci se pribiru poganski k narodu Boga Abrahamova. Božji su svi vlastodršci zemlje, nad svima on je uzvišen.
