Psalms 46
1 To him that excelleth upon Alamoth a song committed to the sonnes of Korah. God is our hope and strength, and helpe in troubles, ready to be found.
Para o músico chefe. Pelos filhos de Corá. De acordo com Alamoth. God é nosso refúgio e nossa força, uma ajuda muito presente nos problemas.
2 Therefore will not we feare, though the earth be moued, and though the mountaines fall into the middes of the sea.
Therefore não teremos medo, embora a terra mude, embora as montanhas sejam sacudidas para o coração dos mares;
3 Though the waters thereof rage and be troubled, and the mountaines shake at the surges of the same. (Selah)
though suas águas bramem e são perturbadas, embora as montanhas tremam com seu inchaço. (Selah)
4 Yet there is a Riuer, whose streames shall make glad the citie of God: euen the Sanctuarie of the Tabernacles of the most High.
Há um rio, cujos cursos d'água fazem a cidade de Deus feliz, o lugar sagrado das tendas do Altíssimo.
5 God is in the middes of it: therefore shall it not be moued: God shall helpe it very earely.
Deus está dentro dela. Ela não deve ser movida. Deus a ajudará ao amanhecer.
6 When the nations raged, and the kingdomes were moued, God thundred, and the earth melted.
As nações se enfureceram. Os reinos foram movidos. Ele levantou sua voz e a terra derreteu.
7 The Lord of hostes is with vs: the God of Iaakob is our refuge. (Selah)
Yahweh dos Exércitos está conosco. O Deus de Jacob é nosso refúgio. (Selah)
8 Come, and behold the workes of the Lord, what desolations he hath made in the earth.
Venha, veja os trabalhos de Yahweh, que desolações ele tem feito na terra.
9 He maketh warres to cease vnto the endes of the world: he breaketh the bowe and cutteth the speare, and burneth the chariots with fire.
Ele faz cessar as guerras até o fim do mundo. Ele quebra o arco, e estilhaça a lança. Ele queima as carruagens no fogo.
10 Be still and knowe that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, and I wil be exalted in the earth.
“Fique quieto e saiba que eu sou Deus. Eu serei exaltado entre as nações. Eu serei exaltado na terra”.
