Psalms 45
1 To him that excelleth on Shoshannim a song of love to give instruction, committed to the sonnes of Korah. Mine heart will vtter forth a good matter: I wil intreat in my workes of the King: my tongue is as the pen of a swift writer.
«Εις τον πρώτον μουσικόν, επί Σοσανίμ, διά τους υιούς Κορέ· Μασχίλ· ωδή υπέρ του αγαπητού.» Η καρδία μου αναβρύει λόγον αγαθόν· εγώ λέγω τα έργα μου προς τον βασιλέα· η γλώσσα μου είναι κάλαμος γραμματέως ταχυγράφου.
2 Thou art fayrer then the children of men: grace is powred in thy lips, because God hath blessed thee for euer.
Συ είσαι ώραιότερος των υιών των ανθρώπων· εξεχύθη χάρις εις τα χείλη σου· διά τούτο σε ευλόγησεν ο Θεός εις τον αιώνα.
3 Gird thy sword vpon thy thigh, O most mightie, to wit, thy worship and thy glory,
Περίζωσον την ρομφαίαν σου επί τον μηρόν σου, δυνατέ, εν τη δόξη σου και εν τη μεγαλοπρεπεία σου.
4 And prosper with thy glory: ride vpon the worde of trueth and of meekenes and of righteousnes: so thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things.
Και κατευοδού εν τη μεγαλειότητί σου και βασίλευε εν αληθεία και πραότητι και δικαιοσύνη· και η δεξιά σου θέλει σοι δείξει φοβερά πράγματα.
5 Thine arrowes are sharpe to pearce the heart of the Kings enemies: therefore the people shall fall vnder thee.
Τα βέλη σου είναι οξέα· λαοί υποκάτω σου θέλουσι πέσει· και αυτά θέλουσιν εμπηχθή εις την καρδίαν των εχθρών του βασιλέως.
6 Thy throne, O God, is for euer and euer: the scepter of thy kingdome is a scepter of righteousnesse.
Ο θρόνος σου, Θεέ, είναι εις τον αιώνα του αιώνος· σκήπτρον ευθύτητος είναι το σκήπτρον της βασιλείας σου.
7 Thou louest righteousnes, and hatest wickednesse, because God, euen thy God hath anoynted thee with the oyle of gladnes aboue thy fellowes.
Ηγάπησας δικαιοσύνην και εμίσησας αδικίαν· διά τούτο έχρισέ σε ο Θεός, ο Θεός σου, έλαιον αγαλλιάσεως υπέρ τους μετόχους σου.
8 All thy garments smelll of myrrhe and aloes, and cassia, when thou commest out of the yuorie palaces, where they haue made thee glad.
Σμύρναν και αλόην και κασίαν ευοδιάζουσι πάντα τα ιμάτιά σου, όταν εξέρχησαι εκ των ελεφαντίνων παλατίων, διά των οποίων σε εύφραναν.
9 Kings daugthers were among thine honorable wiues: vpon thy right hand did stand the Queene in a vesture of golde of Ophir.
Θυγατέρες βασιλέων παρίστανται εν ταις τιμαίς σου· η βασίλισσα εστάθη εκ δεξιών σου εστολισμένη με χρυσίον Οφείρ.
10 Hearken, O daughter, and consider, and incline thine eare: forget also thine owne people and thy fathers house.
Άκουσον, θύγατερ, και ιδέ, και κλίνον το ωτίον σου· και λησμόνησον τον λαόν σου και τον οίκον του πατρός σου·
11 So shall the King haue pleasure in thy beautie: for he is thy Lord, and reuerence thou him.
και θέλει επιθυμήσει ο βασιλεύς το κάλλος σου· διότι αυτός είναι ο κύριός σου· και προσκύνησον αυτόν.
12 And the daughter of Tyrus with the rich of the people shall doe homage before thy face with presents.
Και η θυγάτηρ της Τύρου θέλει παρασταθή με δώρα· το πρόσωπόν σου θέλουσιν ικετεύσει οι πλούσιοι του λαού.
13 The Kings daughter is all glorious within: her clothing is of broydred golde.
Όλη η δόξα της θυγατρός του βασιλέως είναι έσωθεν· το ένδυμα αυτής είναι χρυσοΰφαντον.
14 She shalbe brought vnto the King in raiment of needle worke: the virgins that follow after her, and her companions shall be brought vnto thee.
Θέλει φερθή προς τον βασιλέα με ιμάτιον κεντητόν· παρθένοι σύντροφοι αυτής, κατόπιν αυτής, θέλουσι φερθή εις σε.
15 With ioy and gladnes shall they be brought, and shall enter into the Kings palace.
Θέλουσι φερθή εν ευφροσύνη και αγαλλιάσει· θέλουσιν εισέλθει εις το παλάτιον του βασιλέως.
16 In steade of thy fathers shall thy children be: thou shalt make them princes through all the earth.
Αντί των πατέρων σου θέλουσιν είσθαι οι υιοί σου· αυτούς θέλεις καταστήσει άρχοντας επί πάσαν την γην.
17 I will make thy Name to be remembred through all generations: therefore shall the people giue thanks vnto thee world without ende.
Θέλω μνημονεύει το όνομά σου εις πάσας τας γενεάς· διά τούτο οι λαοί θέλουσι σε υμνεί εις αιώνα αιώνος.
