Psalms 44
1 To him that excelleth. A Psalme to give instruction, committed to the sonnes of Korah. We haue heard with our eares, O God: our fathers haue tolde vs the workes, that thou hast done in their dayes, in the olde time:
१प्रधान बजानेवाले के लिये कोरहवंशियों का मश्कील हे परमेश्वर, हमने अपने कानों से सुना, हमारे बापदादों ने हम से वर्णन किया है, कि तूने उनके दिनों में और प्राचीनकाल में क्या-क्या काम किए हैं।
2 Howe thou hast driuen out the heathen with thine hand, and planted them: how thou hast destroyed the people, and caused them to grow.
२तूने अपने हाथ से जातियों को निकाल दिया, और इनको बसाया; तूने देश-देश के लोगों को दुःख दिया, और इनको चारों ओर फैला दिया;
3 For they inherited not the lande by their owne sworde, neither did their owne arme saue them: but thy right hand, and thine arme and the light of thy countenance, because thou didest fauour them.
३क्योंकि वे न तो अपनी तलवार के बल से इस देश के अधिकारी हुए, और न अपने बाहुबल से; परन्तु तेरे दाहिने हाथ और तेरी भुजा और तेरे प्रसन्न मुख के कारण जयवन्त हुए; क्योंकि तू उनको चाहता था।
4 Thou art my King, O God: send helpe vnto Iaakob.
४हे परमेश्वर, तू ही हमारा महाराजा है, तू याकूब के उद्धार की आज्ञा देता है।
5 Through thee haue we thrust backe our aduersaries: by thy Name haue we troden downe them that rose vp against vs.
५तेरे सहारे से हम अपने द्रोहियों को ढकेलकर गिरा देंगे; तेरे नाम के प्रताप से हम अपने विरोधियों को रौंदेंगे।
6 For I do not trust in my bowe, neither can my sworde saue me.
६क्योंकि मैं अपने धनुष पर भरोसा न रखूँगा, और न अपनी तलवार के बल से बचूँगा।
7 But thou hast saued vs from our aduersaries, and hast put them to confusion that hate vs.
७परन्तु तू ही ने हमको द्रोहियों से बचाया है, और हमारे बैरियों को निराश और लज्जित किया है।
8 Therefore will wee praise God continually, and will confesse thy Name for euer. (Selah)
८हम परमेश्वर की बड़ाई दिन भर करते रहते हैं, और सदैव तेरे नाम का धन्यवाद करते रहेंगे। (सेला)
9 But now thou art farre off, and puttest vs to confusion, and goest not forth with our armies.
९तो भी तूने अब हमको त्याग दिया और हमारा अनादर किया है, और हमारे दलों के साथ आगे नहीं जाता।
10 Thou makest vs to turne backe from the aduersary, and they, which hate vs, spoile for theselues.
१०तू हमको शत्रु के सामने से हटा देता है, और हमारे बैरी मनमाने लूट मार करते हैं।
11 Thou giuest vs as sheepe to bee eaten, and doest scatter vs among the nations.
११तूने हमें कसाई की भेड़ों के समान कर दिया है, और हमको अन्यजातियों में तितर-बितर किया है।
12 Thou sellest thy people without gaine, and doest not increase their price.
१२तू अपनी प्रजा को सेंत-मेंत बेच डालता है, परन्तु उनके मोल से तू धनी नहीं होता।
13 Thou makest vs a reproche to our neighbours, a iest and a laughing stocke to them that are round about vs.
१३तू हमारे पड़ोसियों से हमारी नामधराई कराता है, और हमारे चारों ओर के रहनेवाले हम से हँसी ठट्ठा करते हैं।
14 Thou makest vs a prouerbe among the nations, and a nodding of the head among the people.
१४तूने हमको अन्यजातियों के बीच में अपमान ठहराया है, और देश-देश के लोग हमारे कारण सिर हिलाते हैं।
15 My confusion is dayly before me, and the shame of my face hath couered me,
१५दिन भर हमें तिरस्कार सहना पड़ता है, और कलंक लगाने और निन्दा करनेवाले के बोल से,
16 For the voyce of the slaunderer and rebuker, for the enemie and auenger.
१६शत्रु और बदला लेनेवालों के कारण, बुरा-भला कहनेवालों और निन्दा करनेवालों के कारण।
17 All this is come vpon vs, yet doe wee not forget thee, neither deale wee falsly concerning thy couenant.
१७यह सब कुछ हम पर बीता तो भी हम तुझे नहीं भूले, न तेरी वाचा के विषय विश्वासघात किया है।
18 Our heart is not turned backe: neither our steps gone out of thy paths,
१८हमारे मन न बहके, न हमारे पैर तरी राह से मुड़ें;
19 Albeit thou hast smitten vs downe into the place of dragons, and couered vs with the shadow of death.
१९तो भी तूने हमें गीदड़ों के स्थान में पीस डाला, और हमको घोर अंधकार में छिपा दिया है।
20 If wee haue forgotten the Name of our God, and holden vp our hands to a strange god,
२०यदि हम अपने परमेश्वर का नाम भूल जाते, या किसी पराए देवता की ओर अपने हाथ फैलाते,
21 Shall not God searche this out? for hee knoweth the secrets of the heart.
२१तो क्या परमेश्वर इसका विचार न करता? क्योंकि वह तो मन की गुप्त बातों को जानता है।
22 Surely for thy sake are we slaine continually, and are counted as sheepe for the slaughter.
२२परन्तु हम दिन भर तेरे निमित्त मार डाले जाते हैं, और उन भेड़ों के समान समझे जाते हैं जो वध होने पर हैं।
23 Vp, why sleepest thou, O Lord? awake, be not farre off for euer.
२३हे प्रभु, जाग! तू क्यों सोता है? उठ! हमको सदा के लिये त्याग न दे!
24 Wherefore hidest thou thy face? and forgettest our miserie and our affliction?
२४तू क्यों अपना मुँह छिपा लेता है? और हमारा दुःख और सताया जाना भूल जाता है?
25 For our soule is beaten downe vnto the dust: our belly cleaueth vnto the ground.
२५हमारा प्राण मिट्टी से लग गया; हमारा शरीर भूमि से सट गया है।
26 Rise vp for our succour, and redeeme vs for thy mercies sake.
२६हमारी सहायता के लिये उठ खड़ा हो। और अपनी करुणा के निमित्त हमको छुड़ा ले।
