Psalms 4
1 To him that excelleth on Neginoth. A Psalme of Dauid. Heare me when I call, O God of my righteousnes: thou hast set me at libertie, when I was in distresse: haue mercie vpon me and hearken vnto my prayer.
௧தாவீதின் சங்கீதம். இசைக்குழுவின் தலைவனுக்கு நரம்புக் கருவிகளால் இசைக்கப்பட்டது. என் நீதியின் தேவனே, நான் கூப்பிடும்போது எனக்கு பதில்தாரும்; நெருக்கத்தில் இருந்த எனக்கு விசாலமுண்டாக்கினீர்; எனக்கு இரங்கி, என்னுடைய விண்ணப்பதைக் கேட்டருளும்.
2 O ye sonnes of men, howe long will yee turne my glory into shame, louing vanitie, and seeking lyes? (Selah)
௨மனுமக்களே, எதுவரைக்கும் என்னுடைய மகிமையை அவமானப்படுத்தி, வீணானதை விரும்பி, பொய்யை நாடுவீர்கள். (சேலா)
3 For be ye sure that the Lord hath chosen to himselfe a godly man: the Lord will heare when I call vnto him.
௩பக்தியுள்ளவனைக் யெகோவா தமக்காகத் தெரிந்துகொண்டார் என்று அறியுங்கள்; நான் யெகோவாவை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிடும்போது அவர் கேட்பார்.
4 Tremble, and sinne not: examine your owne heart vpon your bed, and be still. (Selah)
௪நீங்கள் கோபங்கொண்டாலும், பாவம் செய்யாமலிருங்கள்; உங்கள் படுக்கையிலே உங்கள் இருதயத்தில் பேசிக்கொண்டு அமர்ந்திருங்கள். (சேலா)
5 Offer the sacrifices of righteousnes, and trust in the Lord.
௫நீதியின் பலிகளைச் செலுத்தி, யெகோவாமேல் நம்பிக்கையாக இருங்கள்.
6 Many say, Who will shewe vs any good? but Lord, lift vp the light of thy countenance vpon vs.
௬எங்களுக்கு நன்மை காண்பிப்பவன் யார் என்று சொல்லுகிறவர்கள் அநேகர்; யெகோவாவே, உம்முடைய முகத்தின் ஒளியை எங்கள்மேல் பிரகாசிக்கச்செய்யும்.
7 Thou hast giuen mee more ioye of heart, then they haue had, when their wheate and their wine did abound.
௭அவர்களுக்குத் தானியமும் திராட்சைரசமும் பெருகியிருக்கிற காலத்தின் சந்தோஷத்தைவிட, அதிக சந்தோஷத்தை என்னுடைய இருதயத்தில் கொடுத்தீர்.
8 I will lay mee downe, and also sleepe in peace: for thou, Lord, onely makest me dwell in safetie.
௮சமாதானத்தோடு படுத்துக்கொண்டு தூங்குவேன்; யெகோவாவே, நீர் ஒருவரே என்னைச் சுகமாகத் தங்கச்செய்கிறீர்.
