< Psalms 38 >
1 A Psalme of Dauid for remembrance. O Lord, rebuke mee not in thine anger, neither chastise me in thy wrath.
Abụ Ọma Devid. Arịrịọ. Biko, Onyenwe anyị, abarala m mba nʼiwe, maọbụ taa m ahụhụ mgbe iwe gị dị ọkụ.
2 For thine arrowes haue light vpon me, and thine hand lyeth vpon me.
Nʼihi na àkụ gị niile amapuola m ahụ, aka gị adakwasịkwala m, dịka ọ bụ ọkpọ.
3 There is nothing sound in my flesh, because of thine anger: neither is there rest in my bones because of my sinne.
Nʼihi oke iwe gị, ọ dịghị izuoke dị nʼime anụ ahụ; enweghịkwa m udo nʼime ọkpụkpụ m niile nʼihi mmehie m.
4 For mine iniquities are gone ouer mine head, and as a weightie burden they are too heauie for me.
Mmetụta ikpe ọmụma m na-adakwasị m dịka ibu arọ nke dị arọ karịa m.
5 My woundes are putrified, and corrupt because of my foolishnes.
Ọnya m na-ere ure na-asọ oyi nʼihi mmehie enweghị uche m.
6 I am bowed, and crooked very sore: I goe mourning all the day.
Abụ m onye a nyidara ma kwatukwaa nʼala ogologo ụbọchị niile, ana m agagharị nʼiru ụjụ.
7 For my reines are full of burning, and there is nothing sound in my flesh.
Azụ na-egbu m mgbu nke ukwuu ahụ adịghịkwa m.
8 I am weakened and sore broken: I roare for the very griefe of mine heart.
Ume ọbụla adịghịkwa nʼime. Adị m ka onye e gwepịara egwepịa. Ana m asụ ude nʼihi oke ihe mgbu nke obi.
9 Lord, I powre my whole desire before thee, and my sighing is not hid from thee.
O Onyenwe m, ị maara agụụ niile nke na-agụ obi m; ịsụ ude m ezokwaghị ezo nʼebe ị nọ.
10 Mine heart panteth: my strength faileth me, and the light of mine eyes, euen they are not mine owne.
Obi na-alọ m mmiri, ike na-agwụkwa m, ìhè esitekwala nʼanya m pụọ.
11 My louers and my friends stand aside from my plague, and my kinsmen stand a farre off.
Ndị m hụrụ nʼanya na ndị enyi m na-asọ m oyi nʼihi ọnya m, ndị agbataobi m na-anọ m ebe dị anya.
12 They also, that seeke after my life, laye snares, and they that go about to do me euil, talke wicked things and imagine deceite continually.
Ndị na-achọ igbu m na-esiri m ọnya, ndị ahụ chọrọ imerụ m ahụ na-ekwu maka ihe dakwasịrị m; ogologo ụbọchị niile ha na-agba izuzu aghụghọ.
13 But I as a deafe man heard not, and am as a dumme man, which openeth not his mouth.
Adị m ka onye ntị chiri, onye na-apụghị ịnụ ihe ọbụla, dịka onye ogbu, onye na-apụghị imeghe ọnụ ya.
14 Thus am I as a man, that heareth not, and in whose mouth are no reproofes.
Adịla m dịka onye na-anaghị anụ ihe, onye ọnụ ya apụghị ịsa okwu.
15 For on thee, O Lord, do I waite: thou wilt heare me, my Lord, my God.
O Onyenwe anyị, ana m eche gị; o Onyenwe m Chineke m, ị ga-aza.
16 For I said, Heare me, least they reioyce ouer me: for when my foote slippeth, they extol themselues against me.
Nʼihi na asịrị m, “Ekwela ka ha ṅụrịa ọṅụ nʼisi m; maọbụ bulie onwe ha elu nʼebe m nọ mgbe ụkwụ m na-agbuchapụ.”
17 Surely I am ready to halte, and my sorow is euer before me.
Nʼihi na lee, ana m achọ ịda ada. Anọkwa m nʼọnọdụ oke mgbu.
18 When I declare my paine, and am sory for my sinne,
Ana m ekwupụta mmehie m; mmehie m na-ewute m.
19 Then mine enemies are aliue and are mightie, and they that hate me wrongfully are many.
Ndị iro m, ndị na-eme ihe ike dị ọtụtụ, ndị na-akpọ m asị, na-enweghị ihe m mere, bara ụba.
20 They also, that rewarde euill for good, are mine aduersaries, because I follow goodnesse.
Ndị na-eji ihe ọjọọ akwụghachi m ezi ihe, na-ebo ebubo megide m nʼagbanyeghị na m na-achọ ime naanị ezi ihe.
21 Forsake me not, O Lord: be not thou farre from me, my God.
O Onyenwe anyị, ahapụkwala m; O Chineke m, anọkwala m ebe dị anya.
22 Haste thee to helpe mee, O my Lord, my saluation.
Bịa ọsịịsọ inyere m aka Onyenwe m na Onye nzọpụta m.
