Psalms 34
1 A Psalme of Dauid, when he changed his behauiour before Abimelech, who droue him away, and he departed. I will alway giue thankes vnto the Lord: his praise shalbe in my mouth continually.
(Thơ của Đa-vít, lúc người giả điên trước mặt Vua A-bi-mê-léc và bị đuổi đi) Tôi luôn luôn chúc tụng Chúa Hằng Hữu, miệng tôi chỉ biết ca ngợi Ngài.
2 My soule shall glory in the Lord: the humble shall heare it, and be glad.
Tôi sẽ khoe mọi ân lành của Chúa Hằng Hữu; cho người khốn khó nghe và vui mừng.
3 Praise ye the Lord with me, and let vs magnifie his Name together.
Hãy cùng tôi tôn vinh Chúa Hằng Hữu; chúng ta hãy suy tôn Danh Ngài.
4 I sought the Lord, and he heard me: yea, he deliuered me out of all my feare.
Tôi tìm kiếm Chúa Hằng Hữu và Ngài đáp ứng. Ngài giải thoát tôi khỏi cảnh hãi hùng.
5 They shall looke vnto him, and runne to him: and their faces shall not be ashamed, saying,
Ai ngửa trông nơi Chúa được Ngài chiếu sáng, mặt tươi vui, không hổ thẹn cúi đầu.
6 This poore man cryed, and the Lord heard him, and saued him out of all his troubles.
Người cùng khổ này kêu xin, và Chúa Hằng Hữu lắng nghe, Ngài giải cứu người khỏi hoạn nạn.
7 The Angel of the Lord pitcheth round about them, that feare him, and deliuereth them.
Vì thiên sứ của Chúa Hằng Hữu là người canh giữ; đóng trại chung quanh và giải cứu người kính thờ Chúa.
8 Taste ye and see, howe gratious the Lord is: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
Hãy nếm thử cho biết Chúa Hằng Hữu là thiện lành. Phước cho người ẩn náu nơi Ngài!
9 Feare the Lord, ye his Saintes: for nothing wanteth to them that feare him.
Các người thánh, hãy kính sợ Chúa Hằng Hữu, vì người kính sợ Chúa chẳng thiếu thốn bao giờ.
10 The lyons doe lacke and suffer hunger, but they, which seeke the Lord, shall want nothing that is good.
Dù sư tử tơ có khi thiếu thốn và đói, nhưng người tìm kiếm Chúa Hằng Hữu chẳng thiếu điều lành nào.
11 Come children, hearken vnto me: I will teache you the feare of the Lord.
Các con, hãy đến nghe ta, ta sẽ dạy các con sự kính sợ Chúa Hằng Hữu.
12 What man is he, that desireth life, and loueth long dayes for to see good?
Có ai là người yêu thích cuộc đời, muốn sống lâu dài, hạnh phúc?
13 Keepe thy tongue from euill, and thy lips, that they speake no guile.
Phải giữ miệng lưỡi mình, đừng nói lời độc hại, dối gian!
14 Eschewe euill and doe good: seeke peace and follow after it.
Phải tránh xa điều ác và làm việc lành. Hãy tìm kiếm hòa bình, và theo đuổi nó.
15 The eyes of the Lord are vpon the righteous, and his eares are open vnto their crie.
Vì mắt Chúa Hằng Hữu nhìn người công chính; tai Ngài nghe tiếng họ kêu cầu.
16 But the face of the Lord is against them that doe euill, to cut off their remembrance from the earth.
Chúa Hằng Hữu đối nghịch người ác; xóa kỷ niệm họ trên thế gian.
17 The righteous crie, and the Lord heareth them, and deliuereth them out of all their troubles.
Người công chính kêu xin, Chúa lắng nghe. Ngài giải thoát họ khỏi mọi gian khổ.
18 The Lord is neere vnto them that are of a contrite heart, and will saue such as be afflicted in Spirite.
Chúa Hằng Hữu ở gần người có lòng tan vỡ; Ngài cứu người biết hối hận ăn năn.
19 Great are the troubles of the righteous: but the Lord deliuereth him out of them all.
Người công chính gặp nhiều tai nạn, nhưng Chúa Hằng Hữu cho tai qua nạn khỏi.
20 He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.
Chúa Hằng Hữu giữ gìn xương cốt người công chính; không để cho một cái nào phải gãy!
21 But malice shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous, shall perish.
Tai ương đến tiêu diệt người ác, ai ghét người ngay bị Chúa phạt.
22 The Lord redeemeth the soules of his seruants: and none, that trust in him, shall perish.
Nhưng Chúa Hằng Hữu chuộc người phục vụ Chúa. Người nào ẩn núp nơi Chúa không bị lên án.
