Psalms 34
1 A Psalme of Dauid, when he changed his behauiour before Abimelech, who droue him away, and he departed. I will alway giue thankes vnto the Lord: his praise shalbe in my mouth continually.
| مزمور داوود، زمانی که نزد اَبیمِلِک خود را به دیوانگی زد، و او داوود را از آنجا بیرون راند. خداوند را در هر زمان ستایش خواهم کرد؛ شکر و سپاس از او پیوسته بر زبانم جاری خواهد بود. |
2 My soule shall glory in the Lord: the humble shall heare it, and be glad.
| جان من به خداوند افتخار می‌کند؛ فروتنان و بینوایان این را خواهند شنید و خوشحال خواهند شد. |
3 Praise ye the Lord with me, and let vs magnifie his Name together.
| بیایید با من عظمت خداوند را اعلام کنید؛ بیایید با هم نام او را ستایش کنیم! |
4 I sought the Lord, and he heard me: yea, he deliuered me out of all my feare.
| خداوند را به کمک طلبیدم و او مرا اجابت فرمود و مرا از همهٔ ترسهایم رها ساخت. |
5 They shall looke vnto him, and runne to him: and their faces shall not be ashamed, saying,
| کسانی که به سوی او نظر می‌کنند از شادی می‌درخشند؛ آنها هرگز سرافکنده نخواهند شد. |
6 This poore man cryed, and the Lord heard him, and saued him out of all his troubles.
| این حقیر فریاد برآورد و خداوند صدای او را شنید و او را از همهٔ مشکلاتش رهانید. |
7 The Angel of the Lord pitcheth round about them, that feare him, and deliuereth them.
| فرشتهٔ خداوند دور آنانی که از خداوند می‌ترسند و او را گرامی می‌دارند حلقه می‌زند و ایشان را از خطر می‌رهاند. |
8 Taste ye and see, howe gratious the Lord is: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
| بچشید و ببینید که خداوند نیکوست! خوشا به حال کسانی که به او پناه می‌برند! |
9 Feare the Lord, ye his Saintes: for nothing wanteth to them that feare him.
| ای همهٔ عزیزان خداوند، او را گرامی بدارید؛ زیرا کسانی که ترس و احترام او را در دل دارند هرگز محتاج و درمانده نخواهند شد. |
10 The lyons doe lacke and suffer hunger, but they, which seeke the Lord, shall want nothing that is good.
| شیرها نیز گرسنگی می‌کشند، اما طالبان خداوند از هیچ نعمتی بی‌بهره نیستند. |
11 Come children, hearken vnto me: I will teache you the feare of the Lord.
| ای فرزندان، بیایید تا به شما درس خداترسی یاد بدهم. به من گوش کنید! |
12 What man is he, that desireth life, and loueth long dayes for to see good?
| کیست که می‌خواهد زندگی خوب و عمر طولانی داشته باشد؟ |
13 Keepe thy tongue from euill, and thy lips, that they speake no guile.
| پس، زبانت را از بدی و دروغ حفظ کن. |
14 Eschewe euill and doe good: seeke peace and follow after it.
| آری، از بدی دوری کن و نیکویی و آرامش را پیشهٔ خود ساز. |
15 The eyes of the Lord are vpon the righteous, and his eares are open vnto their crie.
| چشمان خداوند بر عادلان است و گوشهایش به فریاد کمک ایشان. |
16 But the face of the Lord is against them that doe euill, to cut off their remembrance from the earth.
| اما روی خداوند بر ضد بدکاران است و سرانجام، اثر آنها را از روی زمین محو خواهد ساخت. |
17 The righteous crie, and the Lord heareth them, and deliuereth them out of all their troubles.
| نیکان فریاد برآوردند و خداوند صدای ایشان را شنید و آنها را از تمام سختیهایشان رهانید. |
18 The Lord is neere vnto them that are of a contrite heart, and will saue such as be afflicted in Spirite.
| خداوند نزدیک دلشکستگان است؛ او آنانی را که امید خود را از دست داده‌اند، نجات می‌بخشد. |
19 Great are the troubles of the righteous: but the Lord deliuereth him out of them all.
| مشکلات شخص عادل زیاد است، اما خداوند او را از همهٔ مشکلاتش می‌رهاند. |
20 He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.
| خداوند تمام استخوانهای او را حفظ می‌کند و نمی‌گذارد حتی یکی از آنها شکسته شود. |
21 But malice shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous, shall perish.
| شرارت آدم شرور او را خواهد کشت؛ و دشمنان شخص عادل مجازات خواهند شد. |
22 The Lord redeemeth the soules of his seruants: and none, that trust in him, shall perish.
| خداوند جان خدمتگزاران خود را نجات می‌دهد؛ کسانی که به او پناه می‌برند، محکوم و مجازات نخواهند شد. |
