Psalms 30

1 A Psalme or song of the dedication of the house of David. I will magnifie thee, O Lord: for thou hast exalted mee, and hast not made my foe to reioyce ouer me.

Mazmur. Nyanyian untuk pentahbisan Bait Suci. Dari Daud. Aku akan memuji Engkau, ya TUHAN, sebab Engkau telah menarik aku ke atas, dan tidak memberi musuh-musuhku bersukacita atas aku.

2 O Lord my God, I cried vnto thee, and thou hast restored me.

TUHAN, Allahku, kepada-Mu aku berteriak minta tolong, dan Engkau telah menyembuhkan aku.

3 O Lord, thou hast brought vp my soule out of the graue: thou hast reuiued me from them that goe downe into the pit. (Sheol h7585)

TUHAN, Engkau mengangkat aku dari dunia orang mati, Engkau menghidupkan aku di antara mereka yang turun ke liang kubur. (Sheol h7585)

4 Sing praises vnto the Lord, ye his Saintes, and giue thankes before the remembrance of his Holinesse.

Nyanyikanlah mazmur bagi TUHAN, hai orang-orang yang dikasihi-Nya, dan persembahkanlah syukur kepada nama-Nya yang kudus!

5 For he endureth but a while in his anger: but in his fauour is life: weeping may abide at euening, but ioy commeth in the morning.

Sebab sesaat saja Ia murka, tetapi seumur hidup Ia murah hati; sepanjang malam ada tangisan, menjelang pagi terdengar sorak-sorai.

6 And in my prosperitie I sayde, I shall neuer be moued.

Dalam kesenanganku aku berkata: "Aku takkan goyah untuk selama-lamanya!"

7 For thou Lord of thy goodnes hadest made my mountaine to stande strong: but thou didest hide thy face, and I was troubled.

TUHAN, oleh karena Engkau berkenan, Engkau telah menempatkan aku di atas gunung yang kokoh; ketika Engkau menyembunyikan wajah-Mu, aku terkejut.

8 Then cried I vnto thee, O Lord, and praied to my Lord.

Kepada-Mu, ya TUHAN, aku berseru, dan kepada Tuhanku aku memohon:

9 What profite is there in my blood, when I go downe to the pit? shall the dust giue thankes vnto thee? or shall it declare thy trueth?

"Apakah untungnya kalau darahku tertumpah, kalau aku turun ke dalam lobang kubur? Dapatkah debu bersyukur kepada-Mu dan memberitakan kesetiaan-Mu?

10 Heare, O Lord, and haue mercy vpon me: Lord, be thou mine helper.

Dengarlah, TUHAN, dan kasihanilah aku, TUHAN, jadilah penolongku!"

11 Thou hast turned my mourning into ioy: thou hast loosed my sacke and girded mee with gladnesse.

Aku yang meratap telah Kauubah menjadi orang yang menari-nari, kain kabungku telah Kaubuka, pinggangku Kauikat dengan sukacita,

12 Therefore shall my tongue praise thee and not cease: O Lord my God, I will giue thankes vnto thee for euer.

supaya jiwaku menyanyikan mazmur bagi-Mu dan jangan berdiam diri. TUHAN, Allahku, untuk selama-lamanya aku mau menyanyikan syukur bagi-Mu.
