Psalms 26

1 A Psalme of David. Judge me, O Lord, for I haue walked in mine innocency: my trust hath bene also in the Lord: therefore shall I not slide.

(Thơ của Đa-vít) Chúa Hằng Hữu ôi, bào chữa cho con, vì con sống thanh liêm; và con tin cậy Ngài, không nao núng.

2 Proue me, O Lord, and trie mee: examine my reines, and mine heart.

Chúa Hằng Hữu ôi, xin tra xét và thử thách con, Xin dò xét lòng dạ và tâm trí con.

3 For thy louing kindnesse is before mine eyes: therefore haue I walked in thy trueth.

Vì con ngưỡng mộ đức nhân từ Chúa, và sống theo chân lý Ngài.

4 I haue not hanted with vaine persons, neither kept companie with the dissemblers.

Con không hòa mình với người dối trá, cũng chẳng kết giao cùng bọn đạo đức giả.

5 I haue hated the assemblie of the euill, and haue not companied with the wicked.

Con thù ghét phường ác nhân, cũng chẳng giao du với người tội lỗi.

6 I will wash mine handes in innocencie, O Lord, and compasse thine altar,

Con sẽ rửa tay, tỏ lòng trong sạch. Con bước đến bàn thờ, Chúa Hằng Hữu ôi,

7 That I may declare with the voyce of thankesgiuing, and set foorth all thy wonderous woorkes.

và lớn tiếng cảm tạ Ngài, cùng kể lại công việc kỳ diệu của Ngài.

8 O Lord, I haue loued the habitation of thine house, and the place where thine honour dwelleth.

Chúa Hằng Hữu ôi, con yêu mến đền thánh Chúa, nơi Ngài hiện diện, rạng rỡ vinh quang.

9 Gather not my soule with the sinners, nor my life with the bloodie men:

Xin đừng cất mạng con cùng với bọn người ác. Đừng giết con chung với lũ sát nhân.

10 In whose handes is wickednes, and their right hand is full of bribes.

Bàn tay họ bẩn thỉu nhuốc nhơ, tay phải họ vơ đầy của hối lộ.

11 But I will walke in mine innocencie: redeeme me therefore, and be mercifull vnto me.

Còn con sẽ sống liêm khiết trong sạch. Xin cứu con và ban ân huệ cho con.

12 My foote standeth in vprightnesse: I will praise thee, O Lord, in the Congregations.

Nơi đất bằng, chân con đứng vững vàng, giữa hội chúng, con luôn ca tụng Chúa Hằng Hữu.
