Psalms 26

1 A Psalme of David. Judge me, O Lord, for I haue walked in mine innocency: my trust hath bene also in the Lord: therefore shall I not slide.

Defiéndeme, oh Yavé, porque en mi integridad anduve, Y en Yavé confié sin titubear.

2 Proue me, O Lord, and trie mee: examine my reines, and mine heart.

Examíname, oh Yavé, y pruébame. Escudriña lo más íntimo de mi personalidad y mi corazón,

3 For thy louing kindnesse is before mine eyes: therefore haue I walked in thy trueth.

Porque tu misericordia está delante de mis ojos Y ando en tu verdad.

4 I haue not hanted with vaine persons, neither kept companie with the dissemblers.

No me siento con hombres falsos Ni ando con hipócritas.

5 I haue hated the assemblie of the euill, and haue not companied with the wicked.

Aborrezco la reunión de perversos Y no me sentaré con los inicuos.

6 I will wash mine handes in innocencie, O Lord, and compasse thine altar,

Lavaré en inocencia mis manos, Y así andaré en torno a tu altar, oh Yavé,

7 That I may declare with the voyce of thankesgiuing, and set foorth all thy wonderous woorkes.

Para hacer resonar mi voz de gratitud Y contar todas tus maravillas.

8 O Lord, I haue loued the habitation of thine house, and the place where thine honour dwelleth.

Oh Yavé, yo amo la Casa donde moras, Y el lugar donde reside tu gloria.

9 Gather not my soule with the sinners, nor my life with the bloodie men:

No arrebates mi alma con los pecadores, Ni mi vida con hombres sanguinarios,

10 In whose handes is wickednes, and their right hand is full of bribes.

En las manos de los cuales está el crimen, Cuya mano derecha está llena de sobornos.

11 But I will walke in mine innocencie: redeeme me therefore, and be mercifull vnto me.

En cuanto a mí, andaré en mi integridad. ¡Redímeme y ten misericordia de mí!

12 My foote standeth in vprightnesse: I will praise thee, O Lord, in the Congregations.

Mis pies están en suelo firme. Bendeciré a Yavé en las congregaciones.
