Psalms 26

1 A Psalme of David. Judge me, O Lord, for I haue walked in mine innocency: my trust hath bene also in the Lord: therefore shall I not slide.

Sudi mi, Gospode, jer u prostoti svojoj hodim i u Gospoda se uzdam; neæu se pokolebati.

2 Proue me, O Lord, and trie mee: examine my reines, and mine heart.

Ispitaj me, Gospode, i iskušaj me; pretopi što je u meni i srce moje.

3 For thy louing kindnesse is before mine eyes: therefore haue I walked in thy trueth.

Jer je milost tvoja pred oèima mojima, i hodim u istini tvojoj.

4 I haue not hanted with vaine persons, neither kept companie with the dissemblers.

Ne sjedim s bezumnicima, i s lukavima se ne miješam.

5 I haue hated the assemblie of the euill, and haue not companied with the wicked.

Nenavidim društvo bezakonièko, i s bezbožnicima ne sjedim.

6 I will wash mine handes in innocencie, O Lord, and compasse thine altar,

Umivam pravdom ruke svoje, i idem oko žrtvenika tvojega, Gospode,

7 That I may declare with the voyce of thankesgiuing, and set foorth all thy wonderous woorkes.

Da razglašujem hvalu tvoju i kazujem sva èudesa tvoja.

8 O Lord, I haue loued the habitation of thine house, and the place where thine honour dwelleth.

Gospode! omilio mi je stan doma tvojega, i mjesto naselja slave tvoje.

9 Gather not my soule with the sinners, nor my life with the bloodie men:

Nemoj duše moje pogubiti, ni života mojega s krvopilcima,

10 In whose handes is wickednes, and their right hand is full of bribes.

Kojima je zloèinstvo u rukama, i kojima je desnica puna mita.

11 But I will walke in mine innocencie: redeeme me therefore, and be mercifull vnto me.

A ja hodim u prostoti svojoj, izbavi me, i smiluj se na me.

12 My foote standeth in vprightnesse: I will praise thee, O Lord, in the Congregations.

Noga moja stoji na pravom putu; na skupštinama æu blagosiljati Gospoda.
