Psalms 24

1 A Psalme of David. The earth is the Lordes, and all that therein is: the worlde and they that dwell therein.

Die Erde ist Jehovahs, und ihre Fülle, die Welt, und die darauf wohnen.

2 For he hath founded it vpon the seas: and established it vpon the floods.

Denn Er hat auf die Meere sie gegründet, und auf den Flüssen sie festgestellt.

3 Who shall ascende into the mountaine of the Lord? and who shall stand in his holy place?

Wer wird hinaufgehen auf den Berg Jehovahs, und wer wird aufstehen am Orte Seiner Heiligkeit?

4 Euen he that hath innocent handes, and a pure heart: which hath not lift vp his minde vnto vanitie, nor sworne deceitfully.

Wer unschuldige Hände hat und lauteren Herzens ist, der seine Seele nicht erhebt auf Eitles und nicht schwört zum Trug.

5 He shall receiue a blessing from the Lord, and righteousnesse from the God of his saluation.

Der wird empfangen Segen von Jehovah, und Gerechtigkeit vom Gotte seines Heils.

6 This is the generation of them that seeke him, of them that seeke thy face, this is Iaakob. (Selah)

Dies das Geschlecht, das Ihm nachfragt, das Dein Angesicht sucht, o Jakob. (Selah)

7 Lift vp your heads ye gates, and be ye lift vp ye euerlasting doores, and the King of glory shall come in.

Erhebt eure Häupter, ihr Tore, und erhebt euch, ihr ewigen Pforten, daß einziehe der König der Herrlichkeit.

8 Who is this King of glorie? the Lord, strong and mightie, euen the Lord mightie in battell.

Wer ist dieser König der Herrlichkeit? Jehovah, der Starke, der Held, Jehovah, der Held im Streite.

9 Lift vp your heads, ye gates, and lift vp your selues, ye euerlasting doores, and the King of glorie shall come in.

Erhebt eure Häupter ihr Tore, und erhebt euch, ihr ewigen Pforten, daß einziehe der König der Herrlichkeit.

10 Who is this King of glory? the Lord of hostes, he is the King of glorie. (Selah)

Wer ist Er, dieser König der Herrlichkeit? Jehovah der Heerscharen ist es. Er ist der König der Herrlichkeit. (Selah)
