Psalms 21
1 To him that excelleth. A Psalme of Dauid. The King shall reioyce in thy strength, O Lord: yea how greatly shall he reioyce in thy saluation!
Jehová, en tu fortaleza se alegrará el rey; y en tu salud se regocijará mucho.
2 Thou hast giuen him his hearts desire, and hast not denyed him the request of his lips. (Selah)
El deseo de su corazón le diste; y no le negaste lo que sus labios pronunciaron. (Selah)
3 For thou diddest preuent him with liberall blessings, and didest set a crowne of pure gold vpon his head.
Por tanto le adelantarás en bendiciones de bien: corona de oro fino has puesto sobre su cabeza.
4 He asked life of thee, and thou gauest him a long life for euer and euer.
Vida te demandó, se la diste: longura de días, por siglo y siglo.
5 His glory is great in thy saluation: dignitie and honour hast thou laid vpon him.
Grande es su gloria en tu salud: honra y hermosura has puesto sobre él.
6 For thou hast set him as blessings for euer: thou hast made him glad with the ioy of thy countenance.
Porque le has bendecido para siempre: alegrástele de alegría con tu rostro.
7 Because the King trusteth in the Lord, and in the mercie of the most High, he shall not slide.
Por cuanto el rey confía en Jehová: y en la misericordia del Altísimo no titubeará.
8 Thine hand shall finde out all thine enemies, and thy right hand shall finde out them that hate thee.
Alcanzará tu mano a todos tus enemigos: tu diestra alcanzará a los que te aborrecen.
9 Thou shalt make them like a fierie ouen in time of thine anger: the Lord shall destroy them in his wrath, and the fire shall deuoure them.
Ponerlos has como horno de fuego en el tiempo de tu ira: Jehová los deshará en su furor, y fuego los consumirá.
10 Their fruite shalt thou destroy from the earth, and their seede from the children of men.
Su fruto destruirás de la tierra: y su simiente de entre los hijos de los hombres.
11 For they intended euill against thee, and imagined mischiefe, but they shall not preuaile.
Porque tendieron mal contra ti: maquinaron maquinación, mas no prevalecieron.
12 Therefore shalt thou put them aparte, and the strings of thy bowe shalt thou make readie against their faces.
Por tanto ponerlos has a parte: con tus cuerdas apuntarás a sus rostros.
13 Be thou exalted, O Lord, in thy strength: so will we sing and prayse thy power.
Ensálzate, o! Jehová, con tu fortaleza: cantaremos y alabaremos tu valentía.
