Psalms 20

1 To him that excelleth. A Psalme of Dauid. The Lord heare thee in the day of trouble: the name of ye God of Iaakob defend thee:

Przewodnikowi chóru. Psalm Dawida. Niech cię wysłucha PAN w dniu utrapienia, niech cię chroni imię Boga Jakuba.

2 Send thee helpe from the Sanctuarie, and strengthen thee out of Zion.

Niech ci ześle pomoc ze świątyni i niech cię wesprze z Syjonu.

3 Let him remember all thine offerings, and turne thy burnt offerings into asshes. (Selah)

Niech pamięta wszystkie twoje ofiary i niech przyjmie twoje całopalenia. (Sela)

4 And graunt thee according to thine heart, and fulfill all thy purpose:

Niech da ci [wszystko], czego pragnie twoje serce, i każdy twój zamysł niech wypełni.

5 That we may reioyce in thy saluation, and set vp the banner in the Name of our God, when the Lord shall performe all thy petitions.

Będziemy się radować z twojego zbawienia i w imię naszego Boga sztandary podniesiemy. Niech PAN spełni wszystkie twoje prośby.

6 Now know I that the Lord will helpe his anointed, and will heare him from his Sanctuarie, by the mightie helpe of his right hand.

Teraz wiem, że PAN wybawia swego pomazańca, wysłucha go ze swego świętego nieba zbawczą mocą swojej prawicy.

7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the Name of ye Lord our God.

Jedni [pokładają ufność] w rydwanach, inni w koniach, lecz my będziemy wspominać imię PANA, naszego Boga.

8 They are brought downe and fallen, but we are risen, and stand vpright.

Tamci zachwiali się i upadli, a my powstaliśmy i ostoimy się.

9 Saue Lord: let the King heare vs in the day that we call.

PANIE, wybaw [nas], a król niech nas wysłucha w dniu naszego wołania.
