Psalms 2
1 Why doe the heathen rage, and the people murmure in vaine?
क्यों मचा रहे हैं राष्ट्र यह खलबली? क्यों देश-देश जुटे हैं विफल षड़्यंत्र की रचना में?
2 The Kings of the earth band themselues, and the princes are assembled together against the Lord, and against his Christ.
याहवेह तथा उनके अभिषिक्त के विरोध में संसार के राजाओं ने एका किया है एकजुट होकर शासक सम्मति कर रहे हैं:
3 Let vs breake their bands, and cast their cordes from vs.
“चलो, तोड़ फेंकें उनके द्वारा डाली गई ये बेड़ियां, उतार डालें उनके द्वारा बांधी गई ये रस्सियां.”
4 But he that dwelleth in the heauen, shall laugh: the Lord shall haue them in derision.
वह, जो स्वर्गिक सिंहासन पर विराजमान हैं, उन पर हंसते हैं, प्रभु उनका उपहास करते हैं.
5 Then shall hee speake vnto them in his wrath, and vexe them in his sore displeasure, saying,
तब वह उन्हें अपने प्रकोप से डराकर अपने रोष में उन्हें संबोधित करते हैं,
6 Euen I haue set my King vpon Zion mine holy mountaine.
“अपने पवित्र पर्वत ज़ियोन पर स्वयं मैंने अपने राजा को बसा दिया है.”
7 I will declare the decree: that is, the Lord hath said vnto me, Thou art my Sonne: this day haue I begotten thee.
मैं याहवेह की राजाज्ञा की घोषणा करूंगा: उन्होंने मुझसे कहा है, “तुम मेरे पुत्र हो; आज मैं तुम्हारा जनक हो गया हूं.
8 Aske of me, and I shall giue thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the endes of the earth for thy possession.
मुझसे मांगो, तो मैं तुम्हें राष्ट्र दे दूंगा तथा संपूर्ण पृथ्वी को तुम्हारी निज संपत्ति बना दूंगा.
9 Thou shalt krush them with a scepter of yron, and breake them in pieces like a potters vessell.
तुम उन्हें लोहे के छड़ से टुकड़े-टुकड़े कर डालोगे; मिट्टी के पात्रों समान चूर-चूर कर दोगे.”
10 Be wise nowe therefore, ye Kings: be learned ye Iudges of the earth.
तब राजाओ, बुद्धिमान बनो; पृथ्वी के न्यायियों, सचेत हो जाओ.
11 Serue the Lord in feare, and reioyce in trembling.
श्रद्धा भाव में याहवेह की आराधना करो; थरथराते हुए आनंद मनाओ.
12 Kisse the sonne, least he be angry, and ye perish in the way, when his wrath shall suddenly burne. blessed are all that trust in him.
पूर्ण सच्चाई में पुत्र को सम्मान दो, ऐसा न हो कि वह क्रोधित हो जाए और तुम मार्ग में ही नष्ट हो जाओ, क्योंकि उसका क्रोध शीघ्र भड़कता है. धन्य होते हैं वे सभी, जो उनका आश्रय लेते हैं.
