Psalms 15

1 A Psalme of Dauid. Lord, who shall dwell in thy Tabernacle? who shall rest in thine holy Mountaine?

Ein Psalm von David. HERR, wer darf Gast sein in deinem Zelte,

2 He that walketh vprightly and worketh righteousnes, and speaketh the trueth in his heart.

Wer unsträflich wandelt und Gerechtigkeit übt und die Wahrheit redet, wie’s ihm ums Herz ist;

3 He that slandereth not with his tongue, nor doeth euill to his neighbour, nor receiueth a false report against his neighbour.

wer keine Verleumdung mit seiner Zunge umherträgt, seinem Nächsten kein Unrecht zufügt und keine Schmähung ausspricht gegen Verwandte;

4 In whose eyes a vile person is contemned, but he honoureth them that feare the Lord: he that sweareth to his owne hinderance and changeth not.

wer Verworfne als wirklich verächtlich ansieht, aber Gottesfürchtigen Ehre erweist; wer sich selbst zum Schaden schwört und den Eid doch hält;

5 He that giueth not his money vnto vsurie, nor taketh reward against the innocent: hee that doeth these things, shall neuer be moued.

wer sein Geld nicht ausleiht gegen Zins und Bestechung nicht annimmt gegen Schuldlose: wer solches tut, wird ewiglich nicht wanken.
