< Psalms 15 >
1 A Psalme of Dauid. Lord, who shall dwell in thy Tabernacle? who shall rest in thine holy Mountaine?
A psalm of David. Yahweh, who may stay in your tabernacle? Who may live on your holy hill?
2 He that walketh vprightly and worketh righteousnes, and speaketh the trueth in his heart.
Whoever walks blamelessly, does what is right and speaks truth from his heart.
3 He that slandereth not with his tongue, nor doeth euill to his neighbour, nor receiueth a false report against his neighbour.
He does not slander with his tongue, he does not harm others, and he does not insult his neighbor.
4 In whose eyes a vile person is contemned, but he honoureth them that feare the Lord: he that sweareth to his owne hinderance and changeth not.
The worthless person is despised in his eyes, but he honors those who fear Yahweh. He swears to his own disadvantage and does not take back his promises.
5 He that giueth not his money vnto vsurie, nor taketh reward against the innocent: hee that doeth these things, shall neuer be moued.
He does not charge interest when he lends money. He does not take bribes to testify against the innocent. He who does these things will never be shaken.
