Psalms 149

1 Praise ye the Lord. Sing ye vnto the Lord a newe song: let his prayse be heard in the Congregation of Saints.

Msifuni Yahwe. Mwimbieni Yahwe wimbo mpya; imbeni sifa zake katika kusanyiko la waaminifu.

2 Let Israel reioyce in him that made him, and let ye children of Zion reioyce in their King.

Israeli ishangilie katika yeye aliye iumba; watu wa Sayuni na washangilie katika mfalme wao.

3 Let them prayse his Name with the flute: let them sing prayses vnto him with the timbrell and harpe.

Nao walisifu jina lake kwa kucheza; na wamuimbie sifa yeye kwa ngoma na kinubi.

4 For the Lord hath pleasure in his people: he will make the meeke glorious by deliuerance.

Kwa kuwa Yahwe hupata furaha katika watu wake; huwapa utukufu wanyeyekevu kwa wokovu.

5 Let ye Saints be ioyfull with glorie: let them sing loud vpon their beddes.

Wacha Mungu wauchangilie ushindi; nao waimbe kwa furaha vitandani mwao.

6 Let the high Actes of God bee in their mouth, and a two edged sword in their hands,

Sifa za Mungu na ziwe vinywani mwao na panga mbili zenye makali mkononi mwao

7 To execute vengeance vpon the heathen, and corrections among the people:

kutekeleza kisasi juu ya mataifa na matendo ya adhabu juu ya watu.

8 To binde their Kings in chaines, and their nobles with fetters of yron,

Nao watawafunga wafalme wao kwa minyororo na wakuu wao kwa pingu za chuma. Watatekeleza hukumu ambayo imeandikwa.

9 That they may execute vpon them the iudgement that is written: this honour shall be to all his Saintes. Prayse ye the Lord.

Hii itakuwa ni heshima kwa ajili ya watakatifu wake wote. Msifuni Yahwe.
