Psalms 149

1 Praise ye the Lord. Sing ye vnto the Lord a newe song: let his prayse be heard in the Congregation of Saints.

Louvae ao Senhor. Cantae ao Senhor um cantico novo, e o seu louvor na congregação dos sanctos.

2 Let Israel reioyce in him that made him, and let ye children of Zion reioyce in their King.

Alegre-se Israel n'aquelle que o fez, gozem-se os filhos de Sião no seu rei.

3 Let them prayse his Name with the flute: let them sing prayses vnto him with the timbrell and harpe.

Louvem o seu nome com flauta; cantem-lhe o seu louvor com adufe e harpa.

4 For the Lord hath pleasure in his people: he will make the meeke glorious by deliuerance.

Porque o Senhor se agrada do seu povo; ornará os mansos com a salvação.

5 Let ye Saints be ioyfull with glorie: let them sing loud vpon their beddes.

Exultem os sanctos na gloria, alegrem-se nas suas camas.

6 Let the high Actes of God bee in their mouth, and a two edged sword in their hands,

Estejam na sua garganta os altos louvores de Deus, e espada de dois fios nas suas mãos,

7 To execute vengeance vpon the heathen, and corrections among the people:

Para tomarem vingança das nações, e darem reprehensões aos povos;

8 To binde their Kings in chaines, and their nobles with fetters of yron,

Para aprisionarem os seus reis com cadeias, e os seus nobres com grilhões de ferro;

9 That they may execute vpon them the iudgement that is written: this honour shall be to all his Saintes. Prayse ye the Lord.

Para fazerem n'elles o juizo escripto; esta será a gloria de todos os sanctos. Louvae ao Senhor.
