Psalms 149

1 Praise ye the Lord. Sing ye vnto the Lord a newe song: let his prayse be heard in the Congregation of Saints.

خداوند را سپاس باد! برای خداوند سرودی تازه بخوانید و در جمع مؤمنان، او را ستایش کنید!

2 Let Israel reioyce in him that made him, and let ye children of Zion reioyce in their King.

ای اسرائیل، به خاطر وجود آفرینندهٔ خود شاد باش؛ ای مردم اورشلیم، به سبب پادشاه خود شادی کنید!

3 Let them prayse his Name with the flute: let them sing prayses vnto him with the timbrell and harpe.

با نغمهٔ بربط و عود، رقص‌کنان نام خداوند را سپاس گویید.

4 For the Lord hath pleasure in his people: he will make the meeke glorious by deliuerance.

زیرا خداوند از قوم خود خشنود است و تاج پیروزی بر سر فروتنان می‌نهد.

5 Let ye Saints be ioyfull with glorie: let them sing loud vpon their beddes.

قوم خداوند به سبب این افتخار بزرگ شاد باشند و تمام شب در بسترهای خود با شادمانی سرود بخوانند.

6 Let the high Actes of God bee in their mouth, and a two edged sword in their hands,

ای قوم خداوند، با صدای بلند او را ستایش کنید و شمشیرهای دو دم را به دست گرفته،

7 To execute vengeance vpon the heathen, and corrections among the people:

از قومها انتقام گیرید و ملتها را به مجازات برسانید.

8 To binde their Kings in chaines, and their nobles with fetters of yron,

پادشاهان ایشان را به زنجیرها ببندید و رؤسای آنها را به پابندهای آهنین؛

9 That they may execute vpon them the iudgement that is written: this honour shall be to all his Saintes. Prayse ye the Lord.

و حکم خداوند را در مورد مجازات آنها اجرا کنید. این است پیروزی و افتخار قوم او! خداوند را سپاس باد!
