Psalms 149

1 Praise ye the Lord. Sing ye vnto the Lord a newe song: let his prayse be heard in the Congregation of Saints.

Halleluja! Singet dem HERRN ein neues Lied, seinen Lobpreis in der Versammlung der Frommen!

2 Let Israel reioyce in him that made him, and let ye children of Zion reioyce in their King.

Es freue sich Israel seines Schöpfers, Zions Söhne sollen jubeln ob ihrem König!

3 Let them prayse his Name with the flute: let them sing prayses vnto him with the timbrell and harpe.

Sie sollen seinen Namen preisen im Reigentanz, mit Pauken und Zithern ihm spielen!

4 For the Lord hath pleasure in his people: he will make the meeke glorious by deliuerance.

Denn der HERR hat Wohlgefallen an seinem Volk; er schmückt die Gebeugten mit Sieg.

5 Let ye Saints be ioyfull with glorie: let them sing loud vpon their beddes.

Frohlocken sollen die Frommen mit Stolz, sollen jauchzen auf ihren Lagern,

6 Let the high Actes of God bee in their mouth, and a two edged sword in their hands,

Lobeserhebungen Gottes im Mund und ein doppelschneidiges Schwert in der Hand:

7 To execute vengeance vpon the heathen, and corrections among the people:

um Rache zu vollziehn an den Heiden, Vergeltung an den Völkern,

8 To binde their Kings in chaines, and their nobles with fetters of yron,

um ihre Könige mit Ketten zu binden und ihre Edlen mit eisernen Fesseln,

9 That they may execute vpon them the iudgement that is written: this honour shall be to all his Saintes. Prayse ye the Lord.

um das längst geschriebene Urteil an ihnen zu vollstrecken: eine Ehre ist dies für alle seine Frommen! Halleluja!
