Psalms 148

1 Praise ye the Lord. Praise ye the Lord from the heauen: prayse ye him in the high places.

Msifuni Yahwe. Msifuni Yahwe, ninyi mlio katika mbingu; msifuni yeye, ninyi mlio juu.

2 Prayse ye him, all ye his Angels: praise him, all his armie.

Msifuni yeye, enyi malaika wake wote; msifuni yeye, majeshi ya malaika wake wote.

3 Prayse ye him, sunne and moone: prayse ye him all bright starres.

Msifuni yeye, enyi jua na mwezi; msifuni yeye, nyota zote zing'aazo.

4 Prayse ye him, heauens of heauens, and waters, that be aboue the heauens.

Msifuni yeye, enyi mbingu zilizo juu zaidi na maji yaliyo juu ya anga.

5 Let them prayse the Name of the Lord: for he commanded, and they were created.

Na vilisifu jina la Yahwe, maana aliamuru, navyo vikaumbwa.

6 And he hath established them for euer and euer: he hath made an ordinance, which shall not passe.

Pia ameviimrisha milele na milele; naye alitoa amri ambayo haitabadilika.

7 Prayse ye the Lord from the earth, ye dragons and all depths:

Msifuni yeye kutoka nchi, ninyi viumbe wa baharini na viumbe vyote katika kina cha bahari,

8 Fire and hayle, snowe and vapours, stormie winde, which execute his worde:

moto na mvua ya mawe, theluji na mawingu, upepo wa dhoruba ukitimiza neno lake.

9 Mountaines and all hils, fruitfull trees and all ceders:

Msifuni yeye, enyi milima na vilima, miti ya matunda na mierezi yote,

10 Beasts and all cattell, creeping things and fethered foules:

wanyama pori na wanyama wafugwao, viumbe vitambaavyo na ndege.

11 Kings of the earth and all people, princes and all iudges of the worlde:

Msifuni Yahwe, wafalme wa nchi na mataifa yote, wakuu na watawala wote wa nchi,

12 Yong men and maidens, also olde men and children:

wote vijana wa kiume na vijana wa kike, wazee na watoto.

13 Let them prayse the Name of the Lord: for his Name onely is to be exalted, and his prayse aboue the earth and the heauens.

Na walisifu jina la Yahwe, kwa kuwa jina lake pekee limetukuka na utukufu wake umeongezwa juu ya nchi na mbingu.

14 For he hath exalted the horne of his people, which is a prayse for all his Saintes, euen for the children of Israel, a people that is neere vnto him. Prayse ye the Lord.

Naye ameyainua mapembe ya watu wake kwa ajili ya sifa kutoka kwa waaminifu wake wote, Waisraeli, watu wa karibu naye. Msifuni Yahwe.
