Psalms 148
1 Praise ye the Lord. Praise ye the Lord from the heauen: prayse ye him in the high places.
Aleluja! Hvalite Jahvu s nebesa, hvalite ga u visinama!
2 Prayse ye him, all ye his Angels: praise him, all his armie.
Hvalite ga, svi anđeli njegovi, hvalite ga, sve vojske njegove!
3 Prayse ye him, sunne and moone: prayse ye him all bright starres.
Hvalite ga, sunce i mjeseče, hvalite ga, sve zvijezde svjetlosne!
4 Prayse ye him, heauens of heauens, and waters, that be aboue the heauens.
Hvalite ga, nebesa nebeska, i vode nad svodom nebeskim!
5 Let them prayse the Name of the Lord: for he commanded, and they were created.
Neka hvale ime Jahvino jer on zapovjedi i postadoše.
6 And he hath established them for euer and euer: he hath made an ordinance, which shall not passe.
Postavi ih zauvijek i dovijeka po zakonu koji neće proći.
7 Prayse ye the Lord from the earth, ye dragons and all depths:
Hvalite Jahvu sa zemlje, nemani morske i svi bezdani!
8 Fire and hayle, snowe and vapours, stormie winde, which execute his worde:
Ognju i grÓade, sniježe i maglo, olujni vjetre, što riječ njegovu izvršavaš!
9 Mountaines and all hils, fruitfull trees and all ceders:
Gore i svi brežuljci, plodonosna stabla i svi cedrovi!
10 Beasts and all cattell, creeping things and fethered foules:
Zvijeri i sve životinje, gmizavci i ptice krilate!
11 Kings of the earth and all people, princes and all iudges of the worlde:
Zemaljski kraljevi i svi narodi, knezovi i suci zemaljski!
12 Yong men and maidens, also olde men and children:
Mladići i djevojke, starci s djecom zajedno:
13 Let them prayse the Name of the Lord: for his Name onely is to be exalted, and his prayse aboue the earth and the heauens.
nek' svi hvale ime Jahvino, jer jedino je njegovo ime uzvišeno! Njegovo veličanstvo zemlju i nebo nadvisuje,
14 For he hath exalted the horne of his people, which is a prayse for all his Saintes, euen for the children of Israel, a people that is neere vnto him. Prayse ye the Lord.
on podiže snagu svom narodu, on proslavlja svete svoje, sinove Izraelove - narod njemu blizak. Aleluja!
