Psalms 146

1 Praise ye the Lord. Praise thou the Lord, O my soule.

Alléluiah. Psaume d'Aggée et de Zacharie. Ô mon âme, loue le Seigneur;

2 I will prayse the Lord during my life: as long as I haue any being, I wil sing vnto my God.

Je louerai le Seigneur toute ma vie; je chanterai des psaumes à mon Dieu tant que j'existerai. Ne mettez point votre confiance dans les princes,

3 Put not your trust in princes, nor in the sonne of man, for there is none helpe in him.

Ni dans les fils des hommes; car ils n'ont point de salut.

4 His breath departeth, and he returneth to his earth: then his thoughtes perish.

Leur esprit s'évanouira, et ils retourneront en leur terre; en ce jour- là périront toutes leurs pensées.

5 Blessed is he, that hath the God of Iaakob for his helpe, whose hope is in the Lord his God.

Heureux celui qui a pour champion le Dieu de Jacob, son espérance dans le Seigneur son Dieu,

6 Which made heauen and earth, the sea, and all that therein is: which keepeth his fidelitie for euer:

Qui a créé le ciel et la terre, et la mer, et tout ce qu'ils renferment;

7 Which executeth iustice for the oppressed: which giueth bread to the hungry: the Lord loseth the prisoners.

Qui garde la vérité dans tous les siècles, qui rend justice aux opprimés; qui donne aux pauvres la nourriture. Le Seigneur délivre ceux qui sont enchaînés.

8 The Lord giueth sight to the blinde: the Lord rayseth vp the crooked: the Lord loueth the righteous.

Le Seigneur rend sages les aveugles; le Seigneur relève ceux qui sont brisés; le Seigneur aime les justes.

9 The Lord keepeth the strangers: he relieueth the fatherlesse and widowe: but he ouerthroweth the way of the wicked.

Le Seigneur garde les étrangers; il secourt l'orphelin et la veuve, et il exterminera la voie des pécheurs.

10 The Lord shall reigne for euer: O Zion, thy God endureth from generation to generation. Prayse ye the Lord.

Le Seigneur ton Dieu, ô Sion, régnera dans tous les siècles, de génération en génération.
