Psalms 145
1 A Psalme of David of Praise. O my God and King, I will extold thee, and will blesse thy Name for euer and euer.
Ein Loblied Davids. / Ah, dich will ich rühmen, mein Gott, du König, / Und deinen Namen preisen immer und ewig.
2 I will blesse thee dayly, and prayse thy Name for euer and euer.
Beharrlich will ich dich preisen / Und deinen Namen loben immer und ewig.
3 Great is the Lord, and most worthy to be praysed, and his greatnes is incomprehensible.
Groß ist Jahwe und sehr preiswürdig, / Seine Größe ist unergründlich.
4 Generation shall praise thy works vnto generation, and declare thy power.
Das eine Geschlecht rühmt deine Werke dem andern, / Man macht deine großen Taten kund.
5 I wil meditate of the beautie of thy glorious maiestie, and thy wonderfull workes,
Hoheitsvoll ist deine herrliche Pracht, / Deine Wunder will ich besingen.
6 And they shall speake of the power of thy fearefull actes, and I will declare thy greatnes.
Wie soll man reden von deinem gewaltig erhabnen Tun! / Von deiner Größe will ich erzählen.
7 They shall breake out into the mention of thy great goodnes, and shall sing aloude of thy righteousnesse.
So soll man auch deiner Güte gedenken / Und ob deiner Gerechtigkeit jauchzen.
8 The Lord is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great mercie.
Gnädig ist Jahwe und barmherzig, / Langmütig und sehr gütig.
9 The Lord is good to all, and his mercies are ouer all his workes.
Tiefhuldreich erweist sich Jahwe allen / Und erbarmt sich all seiner Werke.
10 All thy workes prayse thee, O Lord, and thy Saints blesse thee.
Jauchzen sollen dir, Jahwe, all deine Werke, / Deine Frommen sollen dich preisen.
11 They shewe the glory of thy kingdome, and speake of thy power,
Kundmachen sollen sie deines Königtums Herrlichkeit / Und reden von deiner Macht.
12 To cause his power to be knowen to the sonnes of men, and the glorious renoume of his kingdome.
Loben sollen sie seine großen Taten vor den Menschenkindern / Und seines Königtums rühmliche Pracht.
13 Thy kingdome is an euerlasting kingdome, and thy dominion endureth throughout all ages.
Mit ewiger Dauer besteht dein Königreich, / Deine Herrschaft währet für und für.
14 The Lord vpholdeth all that fall, and lifteth vp all that are ready to fall.
Stützt nicht Jahwe alle, die fallen, / Hilft er nicht allen Gebeugten auf?
15 The eyes of all waite vpon thee, and thou giuest them their meate in due season.
Aller Augen schaun empor zu dir: / Du gibst ihnen Nahrung zur rechten Zeit.
16 Thou openest thine hand, and fillest all things liuing of thy good pleasure.
Freundlich öffnest du deine Hand / Und sättigst alles Lebendge mit dem, was ihm gefällt.
17 The Lord is righteous in all his wayes, and holy in all his workes.
Zeigt sich nicht Jahwe gerecht in seinem Walten / Und gütig in all seinem Tun?
18 The Lord is neere vnto all that call vpon him: yea, to all that call vpon him in trueth.
Kommt Jahwe nicht nahe allen, die ihn anrufen, / Allen, die ihn anrufen in Treue?
19 He wil fulfill the desire of them that feare him: he also wil heare their cry, and wil saue them.
Recht erfüllen wird er, was seine Frommen begehren; / Er hört ihr Schrein und wird ihnen helfen.
20 The Lord preserueth all them that loue him: but he will destroy all the wicked.
Schützt Jahwe doch alle, die ihn lieben; / Alle Frevler aber wird er vertilgen.
21 My mouth shall speake the prayse of the Lord, and all flesh shall blesse his holy Name for euer and euer.
Tönen soll mein Mund von Jahwes Lob, / Und alles Fleisch preise seinen heiligen Namen immer und ewig!
