Psalms 143
1 A Psalme of David. Heare my prayer, O Lord, and hearken vnto my supplication: answer me in thy trueth and in thy righteousnes.
Salmo de Davi: Ó SENHOR, ouve minha oração; inclina teus ouvidos às minhas súplicas; responde-me segundo tua fidelidade [e] tua justiça.
2 (And enter not into iudgement with thy seruant: for in thy sight shall none that liueth, be iustified)
E não entres em juízo com teu servo; porque nenhum ser vivo será justo diante de ti.
3 For the enemie hath persecuted my soule: he hath smitten my life downe to the earth: he hath layde me in the darkenes, as they that haue bene dead long agoe:
Pois o inimigo persegue minha alma, atropela na terra a minha vida; [e] me obriga a viver na escuridão, como os que há muito [tempo] morreram.
4 And my spirit was in perplexitie in me, and mine heart within me was amased.
Por isso meu espírito se enche de angústia em mim, [e] meu coração está desesperado dentro de mim.
5 Yet do I remember the time past: I meditate in all thy workes, yea, I doe meditate in the workes of thine hands.
Lembro-me dos dias antigos, eu considero todos os teus feitos; medito nas obras de tuas mãos.
6 I stretche forth mine hands vnto thee: my soule desireth after thee, as the thirstie land. (Selah)
Levanto minhas mãos a ti; minha alma [tem sede] de ti como a terra seca.
7 Heare me spedely, O Lord, for my spirit faeleth: hide not thy face from me, els I shall be like vnto them that go downe into the pit.
Responde-me depressa, SENHOR; porque meu espírito está muito fraco; não escondas tua face de mim, pois eu seria semelhante aos que descem à cova.
8 Let me heare thy louing kindenes in the morning, for in thee is my trust: shewe mee the waie, that I should walke in, for I lift vp my soule vnto thee.
De madrugada faze com que eu ouça tua bondade, porque em ti confio; faze-me saber o caminho que devo seguir, porque a ti levanto minha alma.
9 Deliuer me, O Lord, from mine enemies: for I hid me with thee.
Livra-me de meus inimigos, SENHOR; [pois] em ti eu me escondo.
10 Teach me to do thy will, for thou art my God: let thy good Spirit leade me vnto the land of righteousnes.
Ensina-me a fazer a tua vontade, pois tu és meu Deus; teu bom Espírito me guie por terra plana.
11 Quicken me, O Lord, for thy Names sake, and for thy righteousnes bring my soule out of trouble.
Vivifica-me por teu nome, SENHOR; por tua justiça tira minha alma da angústia.
12 And for thy mercy slay mine enemies, and destrie all them that oppresse my soule: for I am thy seruant.
E por tua bondade extermina os meus inimigos; e destrói a todos os que afligem a minha alma; pois eu sou teu servo.
