Psalms 143
1 A Psalme of David. Heare my prayer, O Lord, and hearken vnto my supplication: answer me in thy trueth and in thy righteousnes.
Psalmus David, Quando eum filius suus persequebatur eum Absalom filius eius. Domine exaudi orationem meam: auribus percipe obsecrationem meam in veritate tua: exaudi me in tua iustitia.
2 (And enter not into iudgement with thy seruant: for in thy sight shall none that liueth, be iustified)
Et non intres in iudicium cum servo tuo: quia non iustificabitur in conspectu tuo omnis vivens.
3 For the enemie hath persecuted my soule: he hath smitten my life downe to the earth: he hath layde me in the darkenes, as they that haue bene dead long agoe:
Quia persecutus est inimicus animam meam: humiliavit in terra vitam meam. Collocavit me in obscuris sicut mortuos saeculi:
4 And my spirit was in perplexitie in me, and mine heart within me was amased.
et anxiatus est super me spiritus meus, in me turbatum est cor meum.
5 Yet do I remember the time past: I meditate in all thy workes, yea, I doe meditate in the workes of thine hands.
Memor fui dierum antiquorum, meditatus sum in omnibus operibus tuis: in factis manuum tuarum meditabar.
6 I stretche forth mine hands vnto thee: my soule desireth after thee, as the thirstie land. (Selah)
Expandi manus meas ad te: anima mea sicut terra sine aqua tibi:
7 Heare me spedely, O Lord, for my spirit faeleth: hide not thy face from me, els I shall be like vnto them that go downe into the pit.
Velociter exaudi me Domine: defecit spiritus meus. Non avertas faciem tuam a me: et similis ero descendentibus in lacum.
8 Let me heare thy louing kindenes in the morning, for in thee is my trust: shewe mee the waie, that I should walke in, for I lift vp my soule vnto thee.
Auditam fac mihi mane misericordiam tuam: quia in te speravi. Notam fac mihi viam, in qua ambulem: quia ad te levavi animam meam.
9 Deliuer me, O Lord, from mine enemies: for I hid me with thee.
Eripe me de inimicis meis Domine, ad te confugi:
10 Teach me to do thy will, for thou art my God: let thy good Spirit leade me vnto the land of righteousnes.
doce me facere voluntatem tuam, quia Deus meus es tu. Spiritus tuus bonus deducet me in terram rectam:
11 Quicken me, O Lord, for thy Names sake, and for thy righteousnes bring my soule out of trouble.
propter nomen tuum Domine vivificabis me, in aequitate tua. Educes de tribulatione animam meam:
12 And for thy mercy slay mine enemies, and destrie all them that oppresse my soule: for I am thy seruant.
et in misericordia tua disperdes inimicos meos. Et perdes omnes, qui tribulant animam meam: quoniam ego servus tuus sum.
