Psalms 14

1 To him that excelleth. A Psalme of Dauid. The foole hath said in his heart, There is no God: they haue corrupted, and done an abominable worke: there is none that doeth good.

സംഗീതസംവിധായകന്. ദാവീദിന്റെ ഒരു സങ്കീർത്തനം. “ദൈവം ഇല്ല,” എന്നു മൂഢർ തങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ പറയുന്നു. അവർ മ്ലേച്ഛമായതു പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നവർ, അവരുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികൾ നിന്ദ്യമായവ; നന്മചെയ്യുന്നവർ ആരുമില്ല.

2 The Lord looked downe from heauen vpon the children of men, to see if there were any that would vnderstand, and seeke God.

ദൈവത്തെ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്ന വിവേകിയുണ്ടോ എന്നറിയാൻ യഹോവ സ്വർഗത്തിൽനിന്നു മാനവവംശത്തെ നോക്കുന്നു.

3 All are gone out of the way: they are all corrupt: there is none that doeth good, no not one.

എന്നാൽ, സകലരും വഴിതെറ്റിപ്പോയിരിക്കുന്നു, എല്ലാവരും വക്രതയുള്ളവരായിത്തീർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; നന്മചെയ്യുന്നവർ ആരുമില്ല, ഒരൊറ്റവ്യക്തിപോലുമില്ല.

4 Doe not all the workers of iniquitie know that they eate vp my people, as they eate bread? they call not vpon the Lord.

അധർമം പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നവർ ഒന്നും മനസ്സിലാക്കുന്നില്ലല്ലോ? മനുഷ്യർ അപ്പം ഭക്ഷിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ അവർ എന്റെ ജനത്തെ വിഴുങ്ങിക്കളയുന്നു; അവർ ഒരിക്കലും യഹോവയെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നില്ല.

5 There they shall be taken with feare, because God is in the generation of the iust.

ദൈവം നീതിനിഷ്ഠരുടെ കൂടെയായതിനാൽ, അതിക്രമം പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നവർ പരിഭ്രാന്തിയിലാണ്ടുപോകുന്നു.

6 You haue made a mocke at the counsell of the poore, because the Lord is his trust.

നിങ്ങൾ ദരിദ്രരുടെ പദ്ധതികൾ തകിടംമറിക്കുന്നു, എന്നാൽ യഹോവ അവർക്ക് അഭയസ്ഥാനം ആകുന്നു.

7 Oh giue saluation vnto Israel out of Zion: when the Lord turneth the captiuitie of his people, then Iaakob shall reioyce, and Israel shall be glad.

ഇസ്രായേലിന്റെ രക്ഷ സീയോനിൽനിന്നു വന്നെങ്കിൽ! യഹോവ തന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ സൗഭാഗ്യം പുനഃസ്ഥാപിക്കുമ്പോൾ, യാക്കോബ് ആനന്ദിക്കുകയും ഇസ്രായേൽ സന്തോഷിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യട്ടെ.
