Psalms 139
1 To him that excelleth. A Psalme of David. O Lord, thou hast tried me and knowen me.
Jehovah, Du erforschest mich und kennst mich.
2 Thou knowest my sitting and my rising: thou vnderstandest my thought afarre off.
Du weißt mein Sitzen und mein Aufstehen, Du merkst meine Gedanken von ferne.
3 Thou compassest my pathes, and my lying downe, and art accustomed to all my wayes.
Meinen Pfad und mein Niederliegen durchsuchst Du, und bist vertraut mit allen meinen Wegen.
4 For there is not a word in my tongue, but loe, thou knowest it wholy, O Lord.
Denn kein Wort ist auf meiner Zunge, siehe Jehovah! Du weißt es alles.
5 Thou holdest mee straite behinde and before, and layest thine hand vpon me.
Hinten und vorne hast Du mich umlagert, und Deine Hand auf mich gelegt.
6 Thy knowledge is too wonderfull for mee: it is so high that I cannot attaine vnto it.
Das Wissen ist zu wunderbar für mich, zu hoch, ich fasse es nicht.
7 Whither shall I goe from thy Spirite? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?
Wohin soll ich gehen vor Deinem Geist und wohin entweichen vor Deinem Angesicht?
Führe empor ich zum Himmel, so bist Du da, bettete ich mich in der Hölle, siehe, Du bist hier. (Sheol h7585)
9 Let mee take the winges of the morning, and dwell in the vttermost parts of the sea:
Erhöbe ich der Morgenröte Flügel, wohnte am hintersten Meere:
10 Yet thither shall thine hand leade me, and thy right hand holde me.
Auch dort würde mich führen Deine Hand, und Deine Rechte mich ergreifen.
11 If I say, Yet the darkenes shall hide me, euen the night shalbe light about me.
Und spräche ich: Finsternis umhülle mich doch, so würde Nacht zum Lichte um mich.
12 Yea, the darkenes hideth not from thee: but the night shineth as the day: the darkenes and light are both alike.
Auch Finsternis macht finster nicht vor Dir; und Nacht leuchtet wie der Tag, Finsternis ist wie das Licht.
13 For thou hast possessed my reines: thou hast couered me in my mothers wombe.
Denn Du besitzest meine Nieren, mich bedecktest Du in meiner Mutter Leibe;
14 I will praise thee, for I am fearefully and wonderously made: marueilous are thy workes, and my soule knoweth it well.
Ich bekenne Dich: Weil furchtbar, wunderbar ich bin gemacht; wunderbar sind Deine Taten, und dies weiß meine Seele sehr wohl.
15 My bones are not hid from thee, though I was made in a secret place, and facioned beneath in the earth.
Es war Dir nicht verhohlen mein Gebein, da im Verborgenen ich gemacht ward, da ich gewirkt ward in der Erde unteren Räumen.
16 Thine eyes did see me, when I was without forme: for in thy booke were all things written, which in continuance were facioned, when there was none of them before.
Als ich noch ungestaltet war, sahen mich Deine Augen, und sie alle waren in Dein Buch geschrieben, die Tage, die bestimmt worden, und von denen nicht einer da war.
17 Howe deare therefore are thy thoughtes vnto me, O God! how great is ye summe of them!
Und wie köstlich sind mir Deine Gedanken, Gott! Wie ist so mächtig ihre Summe!
18 If I should count them, they are moe then the sand: when I wake, I am still with thee.
Sollte ich sie zählen, sind ihrer mehr denn des Sandes, erwache ich, so bin ich noch bei Dir.
19 Oh that thou wouldest slay, O God, the wicked and bloody men, to whom I say, Depart ye from mee:
O daß Du tötetest den Ungerechten, o Gott, und die Männer des Blutes von mir abwichen!
20 Which speake wickedly of thee, and being thine enemies are lifted vp in vaine.
Die von Dir mit Arglist sprechen, zum Eitlen erheben sich Deine Gegner.
21 Doe not I hate them, O Lord, that hate thee? and doe not I earnestly contend with those that rise vp against thee?
Hasse ich nicht, Jehovah, die Dich hassen, und habe Verdruß auf die, so sich wider Dich erheben?
22 I hate them with an vnfained hatred, as they were mine vtter enemies.
Mit ganzem Hasse hasse ich sie, sie sind zu Feinden mir geworden.
23 Try mee, O God, and knowe mine heart: prooue me and know my thoughtes,
Erforsche mich Gott und kenne mein Herz, prüfe mich und kenne meine Bekümmernis.
24 And consider if there be any way of wickednes in me, and leade me in the way for euer.
Und siehe, ob ich auf dem Wege des Schmerzes bin, und führe mich auf den Weg der Ewigkeit.
