Psalms 135
1 Praise ye the Lord. Praise the Name of the Lord: ye seruants of the Lord, praise him.
Lodate il nome del Signore, lodatelo, servi del Signore, Alleluia.
2 Ye that stande in the House of the Lord, and in the courtes of the House of our God,
voi che state nella casa del Signore, negli atri della casa del nostro Dio.
3 Praise ye the Lord: for the Lord is good: sing praises vnto his Name: for it is a comely thing.
Lodate il Signore: il Signore è buono; cantate inni al suo nome, perché è amabile.
4 For the Lord hath chosen Iaakob to himselfe, and Israel for his chiefe treasure.
Il Signore si è scelto Giacobbe, Israele come suo possesso.
5 For I know that the Lord is great, and that our Lord is aboue all gods.
Io so che grande è il Signore, il nostro Dio sopra tutti gli dei.
6 Whatsoeuer pleased the Lord, that did hee in heauen and in earth, in the sea, and in all the depths.
Tutto ciò che vuole il Signore, egli lo compie in cielo e sulla terra, nei mari e in tutti gli abissi.
7 He bringeth vp the cloudes from the ends of the earth, and maketh the lightnings with ye raine: he draweth foorth the winde out of his treasures.
Fa salire le nubi dall'estremità della terra, produce le folgori per la pioggia, dalle sue riserve libera i venti.
8 He smote the first borne of Egypt both of man and beast.
Egli percosse i primogeniti d'Egitto, dagli uomini fino al bestiame.
9 He hath sent tokens and wonders into the middes of thee, O Egypt, vpon Pharaoh, and vpon all his seruants.
Mandò segni e prodigi in mezzo a te, Egitto, contro il faraone e tutti i suoi ministri.
10 He smote many nations, and slew mightie Kings:
Colpì numerose nazioni e uccise re potenti:
11 As Sihon King of the Amorites, and Og King of Bashan, and all the kingdomes of Canaan:
Seon, re degli Amorrèi, Og, re di Basan, e tutti i regni di Cànaan.
12 And gaue their lande for an inheritance, euen an inheritance vnto Israel his people.
Diede la loro terra in eredità a Israele, in eredità a Israele suo popolo.
13 Thy Name, O Lord, endureth for euer: O Lord, thy remembrance is from generation to generation.
Signore, il tuo nome è per sempre; Signore, il tuo ricordo per ogni generazione.
14 For the Lord will iudge his people, and be pacified towardes his seruants.
Il Signore guida il suo popolo, si muove a pietà dei suoi servi.
15 The idoles of the heathen are siluer and golde, euen the worke of mens handes.
Gli idoli dei popoli sono argento e oro, opera delle mani dell'uomo.
16 They haue a mouth, and speake not: they haue eyes and see not.
Hanno bocca e non parlano; hanno occhi e non vedono;
17 They haue eares and heare not, neither is there any breath in their mouth.
hanno orecchi e non odono; non c'è respiro nella loro bocca.
18 They that make them, are like vnto them: so are all that trust in them.
Sia come loro chi li fabbrica e chiunque in essi confida.
19 Praise the Lord, ye house of Israel: praise the Lord, ye house of Aaron.
Benedici il Signore, casa d'Israele; benedici il Signore, casa di Aronne;
20 Praise the Lord, ye house of Leui: ye that feare the Lord, praise the Lord.
Benedici il Signore, casa di Levi; voi che temete il Signore, benedite il Signore.
21 Praised bee the Lord out of Zion, which dwelleth in Ierusalem. Praise ye the Lord.
Da Sion sia benedetto il Signore. che abita a Gerusalemme. Alleluia.
