< Psalms 130 >
1 A song of degrees. Out of the deepe places haue I called vnto thee, O Lord.
“A song of the degrees.” Out of the depths have I called thee, O Lord.
2 Lord, heare my voyce: let thine eares attend to the voyce of my prayers.
Lord, listen to my voice: let thy ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.
3 If thou, O Lord, straightly markest iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?
If thou, Lord, shouldst treasure up iniquities, O Lord, who would be able to stand?
4 But mercie is with thee, that thou mayest be feared.
But with thee there is forgiveness, in order that thou mayest be feared.
5 I haue waited on the Lord: my soule hath waited, and I haue trusted in his worde.
I hope for the Lord, my soul doth hope, and for his word do I wait.
6 My soule waiteth on the Lord more then the morning watch watcheth for the morning.
My soul [waiteth] for the Lord, more than they that watch for the morning expect the morning.
7 Let Israel waite on the Lord: for with the Lord is mercie, and with him is great redemption.
Let Israel wait for the Lord; for with the Lord there is kindness, and with him is redemption in abundance;
8 And he shall redeeme Israel from all his iniquities.
And he wilt surely redeem Israel from all his iniquities.
