Psalms 129

1 A song of degrees. They haue often times afflicted me from my youth (may Israel nowe say)

၁ငယ် သောအရွယ်မှစ၍ ၊ ကြိမ်ဖန်များစွာ ငါ့ ကို သူတပါးတို့သည် ညှဉ်းဆဲ ကြပြီဟူသောစကားနှင့်ချီ၍၊ ဣသရေလ အမျိုးဆို ရသော စကားဟူမူကား၊

2 They haue often times afflicted me from my youth: but they could not preuaile against me.

၂ငယ် သောအရွယ်မှစ၍ ၊ ကြိမ်ဖန်များစွာ ငါ့ ကို သူတပါးတို့သည် ညှဉ်းဆဲ ကြပြီ။ သို့သော်လည်း ငါ့ ကို မ နိုင် ကြ။

3 The plowers plowed vpon my backe, and made long furrowes.

၃ထွန် သောသူတို့ သည် ငါ့ ကျော ပေါ် မှာ ထွန် ၍၊ ရှည်သော ထွန် ကြောင်းတို့ကို ဖြစ် စေကြ၏။

4 But the righteous Lord hath cut the cordes of the wicked.

၄ထာဝရဘုရား သည် ဖြောင့်မတ် တော်မူ၏။ မ တရားသောသူတို့ ၏ ကြိုး တို့ကို ဖြတ် တော်မူပြီ။

5 They that hate Zion, shalbe all ashamed and turned backward.

၅ဇိအုန် မြို့ကို မုန်း သောသူအပေါင်း တို့သည် ရှက်ကြောက် ၍ လှန် ခြင်းကိုခံရကြပါစေ။

6 They shalbe as the grasse on the house tops, which withereth afore it commeth forth.

၆အိမ်မိုး ပေါ်မှာ ပေါက် ၍၊ အဘယ်သူမျှမနှုတ်ဘဲ ညှိုးနွမ်း တတ် သော မြက်ပင် ကဲ့သို့ ဖြစ် ကြပါစေ။

7 Whereof the mower filleth not his hand, neither the glainer his lap:

၇ထိုမြက်ပင်ကိုရိတ် သောသူသည် လက်တဆုပ်မျှ မရ။ စည်း သောသူလည်း လက် တပွေ့ မျှမ ရ။

8 Neither they, which go by, say, The blessing of the Lord be vpon you, or, We blesse you in the Name of the Lord.

၈လမ်း၌ ရှောက်သွား သော သူတို့ ကလည်း၊ ထာဝရဘုရား ပေးတော်မူသော မင်္ဂလာ သက်ရောက် ပါစေ သော။ ထာဝရဘုရား ၏ နာမတော် ကို အမှီပြု၍၊ သင် တို့ကို ကောင်းကြီး ပေးကြ၏ဟု မ ပြော မဆိုရကြ။
