< Psalms 126 >
1 A song of degrees, or Psalme of David. When ye Lord brought againe the captiuitie of Zion, we were like them that dreame.
Canticum graduum. In convertendo Dominus captivitatem Sion: facti sumus sicut consolati:
2 Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with ioye: then sayd they among the heathen, The Lord hath done great things for them.
Tunc repletum est gaudio os nostrum: et lingua nostra exultatione. Tunc dicent inter gentes: Magnificavit Dominus facere cum eis.
3 The Lord hath done great things for vs, whereof we reioyce.
Magnificavit Dominus facere nobiscum: facti sumus laetantes.
4 O Lord, bring againe our captiuitie, as the riuers in the South.
Converte Domine captivitatem nostram, sicut torrens in Austro.
5 They that sowe in teares, shall reape in ioy.
Qui seminant in lacrymis, in exultatione metent.
6 They went weeping and caried precious seede: but they shall returne with ioye and bring their sheaues.
Euntes ibant et flebant, mittentes semina sua. Venientes autem venient cum exultatione, portantes manipulos suos.
