Psalms 121

1 A song of degrees. I will lift mine eyes vnto the mountaines, from whence mine helpe shall come.

Ein Wallfahrtslied. Ich hebe meine Augen auf zu den Bergen: Woher kommt mir Hilfe?

2 Mine helpe commeth from the Lord, which hath made the heauen and the earth.

Meine Hilfe kommt von dem HERRN, der Himmel und Erde gemacht hat!

3 He wil not suffer thy foote to slippe: for he that keepeth thee, will not slumber.

Er wird deinen Fuß nicht wanken lassen, und der dich behütet, schläft nicht.

4 Beholde, he that keepeth Israel, wil neither slumber nor sleepe.

Siehe, der Hüter Israels schläft noch schlummert nicht.

5 The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shadow at thy right hand.

Der HERR behütet dich; der HERR ist dein Schatten über deiner rechten Hand,

6 The sunne shall not smite thee by day, nor the moone by night.

daß dich am Tage die Sonne nicht steche, noch der Mond des Nachts.

7 The Lord shall preserue thee from all euil: he shall keepe thy soule.

Der HERR behüte dich vor allem Übel, er behüte deine Seele;

8 The Lord shall preserue thy going out, and thy comming in from henceforth and for euer.

der HERR behüte deinen Ausgang und Eingang von nun an bis in Ewigkeit!
