Psalms 115

1 Not vnto vs, O Lord, not vnto vs, but vnto thy Name giue the glorie, for thy louing mercie and for thy truethes sake.

எங்களுக்கு அல்ல, யெகோவாவே, எங்களுக்கு அல்ல, உமது அன்பின் நிமித்தமும், உமது சத்தியத்தின் நிமித்தமும் உமது பெயருக்கே மகிமை உண்டாகட்டும்.

2 Wherefore shall the heathen say, Where is nowe their God?

பிற நாடுகளோ, “அவர்களுடைய இறைவன் எங்கே?” என்று ஏன் கேட்கிறார்கள்.

3 But our God is in heauen: he doeth what so euer he will.

நம்முடைய இறைவன் பரலோகத்தில் இருக்கிறார்; அவர் தமக்கு விருப்பமானதையே செய்கிறார்.

4 Their idoles are siluer and golde, euen the worke of mens hands.

ஆனால் பிற மக்களின் விக்கிரகங்கள் வெள்ளியும் தங்கமும், மனிதருடைய கைகளினால் செய்யப்பட்டதுமாய் இருக்கிறது.

5 They haue a mouth and speake not: they haue eyes and see not.

அவைகளுக்கு வாய்கள் உண்டு, ஆனாலும் அவைகளால் பேசமுடியாது; கண்கள் உண்டு, அவைகளால் பார்க்க முடியாது.

6 They haue eares and heare not: they haue noses and smelll not.

அவைகளுக்குக் காதுகள் உண்டு, ஆனால் அவைகளால் கேட்கமுடியாது; மூக்கிருந்தும், அவைகளால் முகரமுடியாது.

7 They haue handes and touche not: they haue feete and walke not: neither make they a sound with their throte.

அவைகளுக்குக் கைகளிருந்தும் தொட்டுப் பார்க்க முடியாது; கால்கள் உண்டு, ஆனால் அவைகளால் நடக்க முடியாது; தங்கள் தொண்டைகளால் சத்தமிடக்கூட அவைகளால் முடியாது.

8 They that make them are like vnto them: so are all that trust in them.

அவைகளைச் செய்கிறவர்களும், அவைகளை நம்புகிற எல்லோரும் அவைகளைப்போலவே இருக்கிறார்கள்.

9 O Israel, trust thou in the Lord: for he is their helpe and their shielde.

இஸ்ரயேல் குடும்பத்தாரே, யெகோவாவிடம் நம்பிக்கையாய் இருங்கள்; அவரே உங்களுடைய உதவியும் கேடயமுமாய் இருக்கிறார்.

10 O house of Aaron, trust ye in the Lord: for he is their helpe and their shielde.

ஆரோன் குடும்பத்தாரே, யெகோவாவிடம் நம்பிக்கையாய் இருங்கள்; அவரே உங்களுடைய உதவியும் கேடயமுமாய் இருக்கிறார்.

11 Ye that feare the Lord, trust in the Lord: for he is their helper and their shield.

அவருக்குப் பயந்து நடக்கிறவர்களே, யெகோவாவை நம்புங்கள்; அவரே உங்களுடைய உதவியும் கேடயமுமாய் இருக்கிறார்.

12 The Lord hath bene mindfull of vs: he will blesse, he will blesse the house of Israel, he will blesse the house of Aaron.

யெகோவா நம்மை நினைவில் வைத்திருக்கிறார், அவர் நம்மை ஆசீர்வதிப்பார்; அவர் இஸ்ரயேலின் குடும்பத்தாரை ஆசீர்வதிப்பார்; அவர் ஆரோன் குடும்பத்தாரை ஆசீர்வதிப்பார்.

13 He will blesse them that feare the Lord, both small and great.

யெகோவாவுக்குப் பயந்து நடக்கிற பெரியோரையும், சிறியோரையும் அவர் ஆசீர்வதிப்பார்.

14 The Lord will increase his graces towarde you, euen toward you and toward your children.

யெகோவா உங்களைப் பெருகப்பண்ணுவாராக, உங்களையும் உங்கள் பிள்ளைகளையும் பெருகப்பண்ணுவாராக.

15 Ye are blessed of the Lord, which made the heauen and the earth.

வானத்தையும் பூமியையும் படைத்தவராகிய யெகோவாவினால் நீங்கள் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்படுவீர்களாக.

16 The heauens, euen the heauens are the Lordes: but he hath giuen the earth to the sonnes of men.

மிக உயர்ந்த வானங்கள் யெகோவாவினுடையவை; பூமியையோ அவர் மனிதனுக்குக் கொடுத்திருக்கிறார்.

17 The dead prayse not the Lord, neither any that goe downe into the place of silence.

இறந்தவர்கள் யெகோவாவைத் துதிப்பதில்லை, மரணத்தின் மவுனத்தில் இறங்குகிறவர்களும் துதியார்கள்.

18 But we will prayse the Lord from henceforth and for euer. Prayse ye the Lord.

இன்றுமுதல் என்றைக்கும் யெகோவாவைத் துதிப்போம். யெகோவாவுக்குத் துதி. அல்லேலூயா.
