Psalms 114

1 When Israel went out of Egypt, and the house of Iaakob from the barbarous people,

١ عِنْدَ خُرُوجِ إِسْرَائِيلَ مِنْ مِصْرَ، وَبَيْتِ يَعْقُوبَ مِنْ شَعْبٍ أَعْجَمَ،

2 Iudah was his sanctification, and Israel his dominion.

٢ كَانَ يَهُوذَا مَقْدِسَهُ، وَإِسْرَائِيلُ مَحَلَّ سُلْطَانِهِ.

3 The Sea sawe it and fled: Iorden was turned backe.

٣ ٱلْبَحْرُ رَآهُ فَهَرَبَ. ٱلْأُرْدُنُّ رَجَعَ إِلَى خَلْفٍ.

4 The mountaines leaped like rams, and the hils as lambes.

٤ ٱلْجِبَالُ قَفَزَتْ مِثْلَ ٱلْكِبَاشِ، وَٱلْآكَامُ مِثْلَ حُمْلَانِ ٱلْغَنَمِ.

5 What ailed thee, O Sea, that thou fleddest? O Iorden, why wast thou turned backe?

٥ مَا لَكَ أَيُّهَا ٱلْبَحْرُ قَدْ هَرَبْتَ ؟ وَمَا لَكَ أَيُّهَا ٱلْأُرْدُنُّ قَدْ رَجَعْتَ إِلَى خَلْفٍ ؟

6 Ye mountaines, why leaped ye like rams, and ye hils as lambes?

٦ وَمَا لَكُنَّ أَيَّتُهَا ٱلْجِبَالُ قَدْ قَفَزْتُنَّ مِثْلَ ٱلْكِبَاشِ، وَأَيَّتُهَا ٱلتِّلَالُ مِثْلَ حُمْلَانِ ٱلْغَنَمِ؟

7 The earth trembled at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Iaakob,

٧ أَيَّتُهَا ٱلْأَرْضُ تَزَلْزَلِي مِنْ قُدَّامِ ٱلرَّبِّ، مِنْ قُدَّامِ إِلَهِ يَعْقُوبَ!

8 Which turneth the rocke into waterpooles, and the flint into a fountaine of water.

٨ ٱلْمُحَوِّلِ ٱلصَّخْرَةَ إِلَى غُدْرَانِ مِيَاهٍ، ٱلصَّوَّانَ إِلَى يَنَابِيعِ مِيَاهٍ.
