Psalms 113

1 Praise ye the Lord. Praise, O ye seruants of the Lord, prayse the Name of the Lord.

Lobet Jah! / Lobet, ihr Knechte Jahwes. / Lobet den Namen Jahwes!

2 Blessed be the Name of the Lord from hencefoorth and for euer.

Jahwes Name sei gepriesen / Von nun an bis in Ewigkeit!

3 The Lordes Name is praysed from the rising of ye sunne, vnto ye going downe of the same.

Vom Aufgang der Sonne bis zu ihrem Niedergang / Sei Jahwes Name gelobt!

4 The Lord is high aboue all nations, and his glorie aboue the heauens.

Erhaben über alle Völker ist Jahwe, / Über den Himmeln thront seine Herrlichkeit.

5 Who is like vnto the Lord our God, that hath his dwelling on high!

Wer gleicht Jahwe, unserm Gott, / Der sich die Höhe zur Wohnung bereitet,

6 Who abaseth himselfe to beholde things in the heauen and in the earth!

Aber auch alles tief durchforscht / Im Himmel und auf Erden?

7 He raiseth the needie out of the dust, and lifteth vp the poore out of the dung,

Er richtet den Schwachen empor aus dem Staub, / Aus dem Aschenhaufen erhebt er den Armen.

8 That he may set him with the princes, euen with the princes of his people.

Dann setzt er ihn neben den Edlen, / Neben die Edlen seines Volks.

9 He maketh the barren woman to dwell with a familie, and a ioyfull mother of children. Prayse ye the Lord.

Der Unfruchtbaren gibt er im Haus einen festen Platz, / Daß sie sich freut als Mutter inmitten der Kinderschar. / Lobet Jah!
