Psalms 111
1 Praise ye the Lord. I will prayse the Lord with my whole heart in the assemblie and Congregation of the iust.
Hallelujah! Aleph. Ik zal den HEERE loven van ganser harte; Beth. In den raad en vergadering der oprechten.
2 The workes of the Lord are great, and ought to be sought out of al them that loue them.
Gimel. De werken des HEEREN zijn groot; Daleth. zij worden gezocht van allen, die er lust in hebben.
3 His worke is beautifull and glorious, and his righteousnesse endureth for euer.
He. Zijn doen is majesteit en heerlijkheid; Vau. en Zijn gerechtigheid bestaat in der eeuwigheid.
4 He hath made his wonderfull workes to be had in remembrance: the Lord is mercifull and full of compassion.
Zain. Hij heeft Zijn wonderen een gedachtenis gemaakt; Cheth. de HEERE is genadig en barmhartig.
5 He hath giuen a portion vnto them that feare him: he wil euer be mindfull of his couenant.
Teth. Hij heeft dengenen, die Hem vrezen, spijs gegeven; Jod. Hij gedenkt in der eeuwigheid aan Zijn verbond.
6 He hath shewed to his people the power of his workes in giuing vnto them the heritage of the heathen.
Caph. Hij heeft de kracht Zijner werken Zijn volke bekend gemaakt; Lamed. hun gevende de erve der heidenen.
7 The workes of his handes are trueth and iudgement: all his statutes are true.
Mem. De werken Zijner handen zijn waarheid en oordeel; Nun. al Zijn bevelen zijn getrouw.
8 They are stablished for euer and euer, and are done in trueth and equitie.
Samech. Zij zijn ondersteund voor altoos en in eeuwigheid; Ain. zijnde gedaan in waarheid en oprechtigheid.
9 He sent redemption vnto his people: he hath commanded his couenant for euer: holy and fearefull is his Name.
Pe. Hij heeft Zijn volke verlossing gezonden; Tsade. Hij heeft Zijn verbond in eeuwigheid geboden; Koph. Zijn Naam is heilig en vreselijk.
10 The beginning of wisedome is the feare of the Lord: all they that obserue them, haue good vnderstanding: his praise endureth for euer.
Resch. De vreze des HEEREN is het beginsel der wijsheid; Schin. allen, die ze doen, hebben goed verstand; Thau. Zijn lof bestaat tot in der eeuwigheid.
