Psalms 108
1 A song or Psalme of David. O God, mine heart is prepared, so is my tongue: I will sing and giue praise.
Ein Psalmlied. Von David. O Gott, mein Herz ist bereit: ich will singen und spielen; wach auf, meine Seele!
2 Awake viole and harpe: I will awake early.
Psalter und Harfe, wacht auf! Ich will die Morgenröte wecken.
3 I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people, and I wil sing vnto thee among the nations.
HERR, ich will dir danken unter den Völkern und dir singen unter den Nationen;
4 For thy mercy is great aboue the heauens, and thy trueth vnto the clouds.
denn groß bis über den Himmel ist deine Gnade, und bis an die Wolken reicht deine Treue.
5 Exalt thy self, O God, aboue the heauens, and let thy glorie be vpon all the earth,
Erhebe dich über die Himmel, o Gott, und über die ganze Erde deine Herrlichkeit!
6 That thy beloued may be deliuered: helpe with thy right hand and heare me.
Auf daß deine Geliebten errettet werden, laß siegen deine Rechte und erhöre uns!
7 God hath spoken in his holinesse: therefore I will reioyce, I shall deuide Shechem and measure the valley of Succoth.
Gott hat gesprochen in seinem Heiligtum: «Ich will frohlocken! Ich will Sichem verteilen und das Tal Suchot ausmessen.
8 Gilead shalbe mine, and Manasseh shalbe mine: Ephraim also shalbe the strength of mine head: Iuda is my lawgiuer.
Gilead ist mein, Manasse ist mein, Ephraim ist meines Hauptes Wehr, Juda mein Herrscherstab;
9 Moab shalbe my washpot: ouer Edom wil I cast out my shoe: vpon Palestina wil I triumph.
Moab ist mein Waschbecken, über Edom werfe ich meinen Schuh, über Philistäa jauchze ich!»
10 Who will leade mee into the strong citie? who will bring me vnto Edom?
Wer führt mich in eine feste Stadt, wer geleitet mich bis nach Edom?
11 Wilt not thou, O God, which haddest forsaken vs, and diddest not goe foorth, O God, with our armies?
Hast du, o Gott, uns nicht verstoßen und willst nicht ausziehen, o Gott, mit unserm Heer?
12 Giue vs helpe against trouble: for vaine is the helpe of man.
Schaffe uns Hilfe in der Not, denn eitel ist Menschenhilfe!
13 Through God we shall doe valiantly: for he shall treade downe our enemies.
Mit Gott wollen wir Taten tun; er wird unsre Feinde untertreten.
