Psalms 106
1 Praise ye the Lord. Praise ye the Lord because he is good, for his mercie endureth for euer.
Halleluja. Tacker Herranom, ty han är mild, och hans godhet varar i evighet.
2 Who can expresse the noble actes of the Lord, or shewe forth all his prayse?
Ho kan uttala Herrans dråpeliga gerningar? och prisa all hans lofliga verk?
3 Blessed are they that keepe iudgement, and doe righteousnesse at all times.
Salige äro de som budet hålla, och göra alltid rätt.
4 Remember me, O Lord, with the fauour of thy people: visite me with thy saluation,
Herre, tänk på mig efter den nåd, som du dino folke lofvat hafver; bevisa oss dina hjelp;
5 That I may see the felicitie of thy chosen, and reioyce in the ioy of thy people, and glorie with thine inheritance.
Att vi måge se dina utkorades välfärd, och glädja oss att dino folke väl går, och berömma oss med dinom arfvedel.
6 We haue sinned with our fathers: we haue committed iniquitie, and done wickedly.
Vi hafve syndat med våra fäder; vi hafve misshandlat, och hafve ogudaktige varit.
7 Our fathers vnderstoode not thy wonders in Egypt, neither remembred they the multitude of thy mercies, but rebelled at the Sea, euen at the red sea.
Våre fäder uti Egypten ville icke förstå din under; de tänkte icke på dina stora godhet, och voro ohörige vid hafvet, nämliga röda hafvet.
8 Neuerthelesse he saued them for his Names sake, that he might make his power to be knowen.
Men han halp dem för sitt Namns skull, så att han sina magt beviste.
9 And he rebuked the red Sea, and it was dryed vp, and he led them in the deepe, as in the wildernesse.
Och han näpste röda hafvet, och det vardt torrt; och förde dem genom djupen, såsom genom ena öken;
10 And he saued them from ye aduersaries hand, and deliuered them from ye hand of the enemie.
Och halp dem ifrå deras hand, som dem hatade, och förlossade dem ifrå fiendans hand.
11 And the waters couered their oppressours: not one of them was left.
Och vattnet fördränkte deras fiendar, så att icke en qvar blef.
12 Then beleeued they his wordes, and sang prayse vnto him.
Då trodde de uppå hans ord, och söngo hans lof.
13 But incontinently they forgate his workes: they wayted not for his counsell,
Men de förgåto snarliga hans gerningar, och bidde intet efter hans råd.
14 But lusted with concupiscence in the wildernes, and tempted God in the desert.
Och de fingo lusta i öknene, och försökte Gud uti ödemarkene.
15 Then he gaue them their desire: but he sent leannesse into their soule.
Men han gaf dem deras bön, och sände dem nog, tilldess dem vämjade dervid.
16 They enuied Moses also in the tentes, and Aaron the holy one of the Lord.
Och de satte sig upp emot Mose i lägrena; emot Aaron, Herrans heliga.
17 Therefore the earth opened and swallowed vp Dathan, and couered the companie of Abiram.
Jorden öppnade sig, och uppsvalg Dathan, och öfvertäckte Abirams rota.
18 And the fire was kindled in their assembly: the flame burnt vp the wicked.
Och eld vardt ibland deras rota upptänd; lågen uppbrände de ogudaktiga.
19 They made a calfe in Horeb, and worshipped the molten image.
De gjorde en kalf i Horeb, och tillbådo det gjutna belätet;
20 Thus they turned their glory into the similitude of a bullocke, that eateth grasse.
Och förvandlade sina äro uti ens oxas liknelse, den gräs äter.
21 They forgate God their Sauiour, which had done great things in Egypt,
De förgåto Gud sin Frälsare, som så stor ting uti Egypten gjort hade;
22 Wonderous woorkes in the lande of Ham, and fearefull things by the red Sea.
Vidunder i Hams land, och förskräckeliga gerningar i röda hafvet.
23 Therefore he minded to destroy them, had not Moses his chosen stand in the breach before him to turne away his wrath, least he shoulde destroy them.
Och han sade, att han ville förgöra dem, om Mose hans utkorade den plågan icke förtagit hade, och afvändt hans grymhet, att han icke platt skulle förderfva dem.
24 Also they contemned that pleasant land, and beleeued not his worde,
Och de föraktade det lustiga landet; de trodde icke hans ordom;
25 But murmured in their tentes, and hearkened not vnto the voice of the Lord.
Och knorrade i deras hyddom; de lydde intet Herrans röst.
26 Therefore hee lifted vp his hande against them, to destroy them in the wildernesse,
Och han hof upp sina hand emot dem, att han skulle nederslå dem i öknene;
27 And to destroy their seede among the nations, and to scatter them throughout the countries.
Och kasta deras säd ibland Hedningarna, och förströ dem i landen.
28 They ioyned themselues also vnto Baalpeor, and did eate the offrings of the dead.
Och de gåfvo sig till BaalPeor, och åto af de döda afgudars offer;
29 Thus they prouoked him vnto anger with their owne inuentions, and the plague brake in vpon them.
Och förtörnade honom med sin verk; då kom ock en plåga ibland dem.
30 But Phinehas stoode vp, and executed iudgement, and the plague was staied.
Då trädde Pinehas fram, och förlikte sakena, och plågan vände åter.
31 And it was imputed vnto him for righteousnes from generation to generation for euer.
Och det vardt honom räknadt till rättfärdighet, ifrå slägte till slägte, i evig tid.
32 They angred him also at the waters of Meribah, so that Moses was punished for their sakes,
Och de förtörnade honom vid trätovattnet; och de plågade Mose illa.
33 Because they vexed his spirite, so that hee spake vnaduisedly with his lippes.
Ty de bedröfvade honom hans hjerta, så att någor ord undföllo honom.
34 Neither destroied they the people, as the Lord had commanded them,
De förgjorde ock icke de folk, som dock Herren dem budit hade;
35 But were mingled among the heathen, and learned their workes,
Utan de blandade sig ibland Hedningarna, och lärde deras verk;
36 And serued their idoles, which were their ruine.
Och tjente deras afgudom; de kommo dem på förargelse.
37 Yea, they offered their sonnes, and their daughters vnto deuils,
Och de offrade sina söner, och sina döttrar djeflom;
38 And shed innocent blood, euen the blood of their sonnes, and of their daughters, whome they offred vnto the idoles of Canaan, and the lande was defiled with blood.
Och utgöto oskyldigt blod, sina söners och döttrars blod, som de offrade Canaans afgudom; så att landet med blodskulder besmittadt vardt;
39 Thus were they steined with their owne woorkes, and went a whoring with their owne inuentions.
Och orenade sig med sinom gerningom, och hor bedrefvo med sin verk.
40 Therefore was the wrath of the Lord kindled against his people, and he abhorred his owne inheritance.
Då förgrymmade sig Herrans vrede öfver sitt folk, och han fick en styggelse till sitt arf;
41 And hee gaue them into the hande of the heathen: and they that hated them, were lordes ouer them.
Och gaf dem uti Hedningars händer; så att öfver dem rådde de som dem hätske voro.
42 Their enemies also oppressed them, and they were humbled vnder their hand.
Och deras fiender plågade dem, och de vordo kufvade under deras händer.
43 Many a time did hee deliuer them, but they prouoked him by their counsels: therefore they were brought downe by their iniquitie.
Han förlossade dem ofta; men de förtörnade honom med sin verk, och vordo få för deras missgerningars skull.
44 Yet hee sawe when they were in affliction, and he heard their crie.
Och han såg till deras nöd, då han deras klagan hörde;
45 And he remembred his couenant towarde them and repented according to the multitude of his mercies,
Och tänkte på sitt förbund, som han med dem gjort hade; och det ångrade honom efter hans stora godhet;
46 And gaue them fauour in the sight of all them that lead them captiues.
Och lät dem komma till barmhertighet, för allom dem som dem fångat hade.
47 Saue vs, O Lord our God, and gather vs from among the heathen, that we may praise thine holy Name, and glorie in thy praise.
Hjelp oss, Herre vår Gud, och för oss tillhopa ut ifrå Hedningarna; att vi måge tacka ditt helga Namn, och begå ditt lof.
48 Blessed be the Lord God of Israel for euer and euer, and let all the people say, So be it. Praise yee the Lord.
Lofvad vare Herren, Israels Gud, ifrån evighet i evighet; och allt folk säga: Amen. Halleluja.
