Psalms 106
1 Praise ye the Lord. Praise ye the Lord because he is good, for his mercie endureth for euer.
Aleluja! Slavite Gospoda, ker je dober, ker je vekomaj milost njegova.
2 Who can expresse the noble actes of the Lord, or shewe forth all his prayse?
Kdo bi dopovedal najvišjo moč Gospodovo, oznanil vso hvalo njegovo?
3 Blessed are they that keepe iudgement, and doe righteousnesse at all times.
O blagor jim, ki se držé postave té, ki delajo pravico vsak čas!
4 Remember me, O Lord, with the fauour of thy people: visite me with thy saluation,
Spomni se me, Gospod, po blagovoljnosti, katero izkazuješ svojemu ljudstvu, obišči me z blaginjo svojo.
5 That I may see the felicitie of thy chosen, and reioyce in the ioy of thy people, and glorie with thine inheritance.
Da uživam izvoljenih tvojih dobroto, da se radujem radosti naroda tvojega; da se s posestjo tvojo ponašam.
6 We haue sinned with our fathers: we haue committed iniquitie, and done wickedly.
Grešili smo z očeti svojimi: krivično smo delali, ravnali hudobno.
7 Our fathers vnderstoode not thy wonders in Egypt, neither remembred they the multitude of thy mercies, but rebelled at the Sea, euen at the red sea.
Očetje naši niso umeli v Egiptu čudovitih dél tvojih; spominjali se niso milosti tvojih obilosti; temuč priliko so dajali izpremeniti jih pri morji, ko so stopali v morje trstovito.
8 Neuerthelesse he saued them for his Names sake, that he might make his power to be knowen.
Vendar jih je rešil zavoljo imena svojega, da bi pokazal svojo moč.
9 And he rebuked the red Sea, and it was dryed vp, and he led them in the deepe, as in the wildernesse.
Ker zarotil je trstovito morje, in posušilo se je; in peljal jih je skozi valove kakor skozi puščavo.
10 And he saued them from ye aduersaries hand, and deliuered them from ye hand of the enemie.
Tako jih je rešil roke sovražnikove; otel jih je neprijateljeve roke.
11 And the waters couered their oppressours: not one of them was left.
Pokrile pa so vode njih sovražnike; eden izmed njih ni ostal.
12 Then beleeued they his wordes, and sang prayse vnto him.
Da sì so verjeli besedam njegovim, peli hvalo njegovo,
13 But incontinently they forgate his workes: they wayted not for his counsell,
Pozabili so naglo dél njegovih; čakali niso sveta njegovega.
14 But lusted with concupiscence in the wildernes, and tempted God in the desert.
Ampak iz poželjivosti v puščavi izkušali so Boga mogočnega v samoti.
15 Then he gaue them their desire: but he sent leannesse into their soule.
Tako da je podelivši jim, kar so prosili, poslal kugo nad nje.
16 They enuied Moses also in the tentes, and Aaron the holy one of the Lord.
Potem ko so bili nevoščljivi Mojzesu v šatorji, Aronu svetniku Gospodovemu,
17 Therefore the earth opened and swallowed vp Dathan, and couered the companie of Abiram.
Odprla se je zemlja in požrla Datana in zagrnila je drhal Abiramovo.
18 And the fire was kindled in their assembly: the flame burnt vp the wicked.
In vnel se je ogenj v njih drhal, in s plamenom požgal krivične.
19 They made a calfe in Horeb, and worshipped the molten image.
Naredili so tele na Horebu, in klanjali so se podobi.
20 Thus they turned their glory into the similitude of a bullocke, that eateth grasse.
In premenivši čast svojo v podobo vola, ki travo jé,
21 They forgate God their Sauiour, which had done great things in Egypt,
Pozabili so Boga mogočnega, rešitelja svojega, kateri je bil storil velike reči v Egiptu,
22 Wonderous woorkes in the lande of Ham, and fearefull things by the red Sea.
Čudovita dela v deželi Kamovi, strašna pri trstovitem morji.
23 Therefore he minded to destroy them, had not Moses his chosen stand in the breach before him to turne away his wrath, least he shoulde destroy them.
Zatorej je rekel, da jih bode pogubil; ko bi ne bil Mojzes, izvoljenec njegov, stopil v ón predór pred njim, da bi odvrnil jezo njegovo, da jih ne pogubi.
24 Also they contemned that pleasant land, and beleeued not his worde,
Zavrgli so tudi zaželeno deželo, ne verujoč besedi njegovi.
25 But murmured in their tentes, and hearkened not vnto the voice of the Lord.
In godrnjaje v šatorih svojih niso poslušali glasú Gospodovega.
26 Therefore hee lifted vp his hande against them, to destroy them in the wildernesse,
Zatorej je dvignil roko svojo ter prisegel, da jih podere v sami puščavi.
27 And to destroy their seede among the nations, and to scatter them throughout the countries.
In da podere seme njih med narodi, in razkropi jih po deželah.
28 They ioyned themselues also vnto Baalpeor, and did eate the offrings of the dead.
Razen tega so se združili tudi z malikom Peorjem, in jedli mrtvih daritve.
29 Thus they prouoked him vnto anger with their owne inuentions, and the plague brake in vpon them.
Klicali so tako Boga v nevoljo z deli svojimi, da je pridrla nad nje nadloga.
30 But Phinehas stoode vp, and executed iudgement, and the plague was staied.
Dokler ni vstal Pineas in storil sodbo, ter je bila ustavljena tista nadloga;
31 And it was imputed vnto him for righteousnes from generation to generation for euer.
Kar se mu je štelo za pravico, od roda do roda vekomaj.
32 They angred him also at the waters of Meribah, so that Moses was punished for their sakes,
Enako so razdražili gorečo jezo pri vodah prepira, tako da se je slabo godilo Mojzesu zavoljo njih.
33 Because they vexed his spirite, so that hee spake vnaduisedly with his lippes.
Ko so bili razdražili duha njegovega, in je izgovoril z ustnami svojimi razdraženje svoje:
34 Neither destroied they the people, as the Lord had commanded them,
Pokončali niso onih ljudstev, za katera jim je bil zapovedal Gospod;
35 But were mingled among the heathen, and learned their workes,
Ampak pomešali so se z onimi narodi in naučili se njih dél.
36 And serued their idoles, which were their ruine.
In čestili so njih podobe, katere so bile njim v izpotiko.
37 Yea, they offered their sonnes, and their daughters vnto deuils,
Ker darovali so sinove svoje in hčere svoje hudobnim duhovom;
38 And shed innocent blood, euen the blood of their sonnes, and of their daughters, whome they offred vnto the idoles of Canaan, and the lande was defiled with blood.
In prelivali so nedolžno kri, kri sinov svojih in hčer svojih, katere so darovali podobam Kanaanskim, tako da je bila zemlja onečiščena z njih moritvami.
39 Thus were they steined with their owne woorkes, and went a whoring with their owne inuentions.
In oskrunjali so se sè svojimi deli; prešestvovali z dejanji svojimi.
40 Therefore was the wrath of the Lord kindled against his people, and he abhorred his owne inheritance.
Zatorej se je razsrdil Gospod nad ljudstvom svojim in studil svojo posest,
41 And hee gaue them into the hande of the heathen: and they that hated them, were lordes ouer them.
Tako da jih je dal v roko narodom, da bi jim gospodovali njih sovražniki, črtilci,
42 Their enemies also oppressed them, and they were humbled vnder their hand.
In jih zatirali njih neprijatelji, in da bi se poniževali pod njih roko.
43 Many a time did hee deliuer them, but they prouoked him by their counsels: therefore they were brought downe by their iniquitie.
Mnogokrat jih je rešil, dasì so ga bili razsrdili z naklepom svojim, in so bili ponižani zavoljo krivice svoje.
44 Yet hee sawe when they were in affliction, and he heard their crie.
Ozrl se je na njih stisko, slišal je njih vpitje.
45 And he remembred his couenant towarde them and repented according to the multitude of his mercies,
In spomnivši se zá nje zaveze svoje, kesal se je po obilosti milosti svojih;
46 And gaue them fauour in the sight of all them that lead them captiues.
Tako da jim je izkazal usmiljenje pred vsemí, kateri so jih v sužnjosti imeli.
47 Saue vs, O Lord our God, and gather vs from among the heathen, that we may praise thine holy Name, and glorie in thy praise.
Reši nas, Gospod, Bog naš, in zberi nas izmed tistih narodov, da slavimo sveto ime tvoje, in se s hvaljenjem priporočamo v hvali tvoji,
48 Blessed be the Lord God of Israel for euer and euer, and let all the people say, So be it. Praise yee the Lord.
Blagoslovljen Gospod, Izraelov Bog, od veka do veka in vse ljudstvo naj govori: Aleluja!
