Psalms 106
1 Praise ye the Lord. Praise ye the Lord because he is good, for his mercie endureth for euer.
੧ਹਲਲੂਯਾਹ! ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕਰੋ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਭਲਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਦਯਾ ਸਦਾ ਤੱਕ ਹੈ!
2 Who can expresse the noble actes of the Lord, or shewe forth all his prayse?
੨ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੌਣ ਵਰਣਨ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ? ਕੌਣ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਉਸਤਤ ਸੁਣਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ?
3 Blessed are they that keepe iudgement, and doe righteousnesse at all times.
੩ਧੰਨ ਓਹ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਨਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਧਰਮ ਕਮਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ!
4 Remember me, O Lord, with the fauour of thy people: visite me with thy saluation,
੪ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਆਪਣੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਦੇ ਪੱਖਪਾਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਰੱਖ, ਆਪਣੇ ਬਚਾਓ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਰੀ ਸੁੱਧ ਲੈ,
5 That I may see the felicitie of thy chosen, and reioyce in the ioy of thy people, and glorie with thine inheritance.
੫ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਚੁਣੇ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਦੀ ਭਲਿਆਈ ਵੇਖਾਂ, ਤੇਰੀ ਕੌਮ ਦੀ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਨੰਦ ਹੋਵਾਂ, ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਮਿਲਖ਼ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਫਖ਼ਰ ਕਰਾਂ!।
6 We haue sinned with our fathers: we haue committed iniquitie, and done wickedly.
੬ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਜਿਹੇ ਪਾਪ ਕੀਤੇ, ਅਸੀਂ ਬਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਟਪੁਣਾ ਕੀਤਾ।
7 Our fathers vnderstoode not thy wonders in Egypt, neither remembred they the multitude of thy mercies, but rebelled at the Sea, euen at the red sea.
੭ਸਾਡੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੇਰੇ ਅਚਰਜਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਸਮਝਿਆ, ਨਾ ਤੇਰੀਆਂ ਬਹੁਤੀਆਂ ਦਿਆਲ਼ਗੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਰੱਖਿਆ, ਪਰ ਓਹ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਲਾਲ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਕੀ ਹੋ ਗਏ।
8 Neuerthelesse he saued them for his Names sake, that he might make his power to be knowen.
੮ਤਾਂ ਵੀ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਇਆ, ਕਿ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਵਿਖਾਵੇ।
9 And he rebuked the red Sea, and it was dryed vp, and he led them in the deepe, as in the wildernesse.
੯ਉਹ ਨੇ ਲਾਲ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਨੂੰ ਦਬਕਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਸੁੱਕ ਗਿਆ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਡੁੰਘਿਆਈਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਦੀ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਉਜਾੜ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਦੀ ਲੰਘਾਇਆ,
10 And he saued them from ye aduersaries hand, and deliuered them from ye hand of the enemie.
੧੦ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਦੇ ਹੱਥੋਂ ਬਚਾਇਆ, ਅਤੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਦੇ ਹੱਥੋਂ ਛੁਡਾਇਆ।
11 And the waters couered their oppressours: not one of them was left.
੧੧ਪਾਣੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੋਧੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਢੱਕ ਲਿਆ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਵੀ ਨਾ ਬਚਿਆ!
12 Then beleeued they his wordes, and sang prayse vnto him.
੧੨ਉਸ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਚ ਮੰਨਿਆ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਉਸਤਤ ਦਾ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਇਆ।
13 But incontinently they forgate his workes: they wayted not for his counsell,
੧੩ਓਹ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਛੇਤੀ ਹੀ ਭੁੱਲ ਗਏ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਸਲਾਹ ਦੀ ਉਡੀਕ ਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ।
14 But lusted with concupiscence in the wildernes, and tempted God in the desert.
੧੪ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਜਾੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਡੀ ਹਿਰਸ ਕੀਤੀ, ਅਤੇ ਥਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਤਾਇਆ,
15 Then he gaue them their desire: but he sent leannesse into their soule.
੧੫ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਪੂਰੀ ਕੀਤੀ, ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਜਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲਿੱਸਿਆਂ ਨਾ ਕੀਤਾ।
16 They enuied Moses also in the tentes, and Aaron the holy one of the Lord.
੧੬ਡੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਓਹ ਮੂਸਾ, ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਭਗਤ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਉੱਤੇ ਸੜੇ,
17 Therefore the earth opened and swallowed vp Dathan, and couered the companie of Abiram.
੧੭ਧਰਤੀ ਖੁੱਲ੍ਹ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਦਾਥਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਗਲ ਲਿਆ, ਅਤੇ ਅਬੀਰਾਮ ਦੀ ਟੋਲੀ ਨੂੰ ਢੱਕ ਲਿਆ,
18 And the fire was kindled in their assembly: the flame burnt vp the wicked.
੧੮ਤਾਂ ਅੱਗ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਟੋਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਫੁੱਟ ਨਿੱਕਲੀ, ਅਤੇ ਲੰਬ ਨੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਟਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭਸਮ ਕੀਤਾ।
19 They made a calfe in Horeb, and worshipped the molten image.
੧੯ਹੋਰੇਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਛਾ ਬਣਾਇਆ, ਅਤੇ ਢਾਲ਼ੇ ਹੋਏ ਬੁੱਤ ਅੱਗੇ ਮੱਥਾ ਟੇਕਿਆ,
20 Thus they turned their glory into the similitude of a bullocke, that eateth grasse.
੨੦ਇਉਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਤਾਪ ਨੂੰ, ਘਾਹ ਖਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਬਲ਼ਦ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਨਾਲ ਬਦਲ ਲਿਆ!
21 They forgate God their Sauiour, which had done great things in Egypt,
੨੧ਓਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਭੁੱਲ ਗਏ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਡੇ-ਵੱਡੇ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤੇ,
22 Wonderous woorkes in the lande of Ham, and fearefull things by the red Sea.
੨੨ਹਾਮ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਚਰਜ਼, ਅਤੇ ਲਾਲ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਕੰਮ!
23 Therefore he minded to destroy them, had not Moses his chosen stand in the breach before him to turne away his wrath, least he shoulde destroy them.
੨੩ਤਾਂ ਓਸ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਸ ਕਰ ਸੁੱਟਦਾ, ਜੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਮੇਰਾ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਤੇੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਨਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ, ਕਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਮੋੜੇ।
24 Also they contemned that pleasant land, and beleeued not his worde,
੨੪ਫੇਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਮਨਭਾਉਂਦੇ ਦੇਸ ਨੂੰ ਤੁੱਛ ਜਾਣਿਆ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਚ ਨਾ ਮੰਨਿਆ,
25 But murmured in their tentes, and hearkened not vnto the voice of the Lord.
੨੫ਪਰ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਤੰਬੂਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੁੜ-ਬੁੜ ਕੀਤੀ, ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਸੁਣਿਆ।
26 Therefore hee lifted vp his hande against them, to destroy them in the wildernesse,
੨੬ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਈ ਸਹੁੰ ਖਾਧੀ, ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਜਾੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁੱਟ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ,
27 And to destroy their seede among the nations, and to scatter them throughout the countries.
੨੭ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਨਸਲ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁੱਟਾਂਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਖਿਲਾਰ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।
28 They ioyned themselues also vnto Baalpeor, and did eate the offrings of the dead.
੨੮ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਬਆਲ ਪਓਰ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਜੋੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਅਤੇ ਮੁਰਦਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਵਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਖਾਧਾ!
29 Thus they prouoked him vnto anger with their owne inuentions, and the plague brake in vpon them.
੨੯ਇਉਂ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਕਰਤੂਤਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਗੁੱਸੇ ਕੀਤਾ, ਅਤੇ ਮਰੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਫੁੱਟ ਪਈ।
30 But Phinehas stoode vp, and executed iudgement, and the plague was staied.
੩੦ਤਾਂ ਫ਼ੀਨਹਾਸ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਖਲੋ ਗਿਆ, ਅਤੇ ਮਰੀ ਰੁਕ ਗਈ,
31 And it was imputed vnto him for righteousnes from generation to generation for euer.
੩੧ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਧਰਮ ਗਿਣਿਆ ਗਿਆ, ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀਓਂ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀ ਸਦਾ ਲਈ।
32 They angred him also at the waters of Meribah, so that Moses was punished for their sakes,
੩੨ਫੇਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮਰੀਬਾਹ ਦੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਗੁੱਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਭੜਕਾਇਆ, ਇਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਮੂਸਾ ਲਈ ਬੁਰਾ ਹੋਇਆ,
33 Because they vexed his spirite, so that hee spake vnaduisedly with his lippes.
੩੩ਓਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਆਤਮਾ ਤੋਂ ਆਕੀ ਜੋ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਸਨ, ਤਾਂ ਹੀ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੁੱਲ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਕੁਵੱਲੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕੱਢੀਆਂ।
34 Neither destroied they the people, as the Lord had commanded them,
੩੪ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਉੱਮਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਸ ਨਾ ਕੀਤਾ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਈ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ,
35 But were mingled among the heathen, and learned their workes,
੩੫ਸਗੋਂ ਓਹ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਲ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਸਿੱਖ ਲਏ,
36 And serued their idoles, which were their ruine.
੩੬ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਬੁੱਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਕੀਤੀ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਫਾਹੀ ਬਣ ਗਏ।
37 Yea, they offered their sonnes, and their daughters vnto deuils,
੩੭ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਧੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੂਤਨਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਬਲੀਦਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ।
38 And shed innocent blood, euen the blood of their sonnes, and of their daughters, whome they offred vnto the idoles of Canaan, and the lande was defiled with blood.
੩੮ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਨਿਰਦੋਸ਼ਾਂ ਦਾ ਲਹੂ, ਅਰਥਾਤ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਧੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਲਹੂ ਵਹਾਇਆ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਨਾਨ ਦੇ ਬੁੱਤਾਂ ਲਈ ਬਲੀਦਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ,
39 Thus were they steined with their owne woorkes, and went a whoring with their owne inuentions.
੩੯ਓਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਹੋਏ, ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਕਰਤੱਬੀਂ ਵਿਭਚਾਰੀ ਠਹਿਰੇ।
40 Therefore was the wrath of the Lord kindled against his people, and he abhorred his owne inheritance.
੪੦ਇਉਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਉੱਤੇ ਭੜਕ ਉੱਠਿਆ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਿਰਾਸ ਤੋਂ ਘਿਣ ਕੀਤੀ।
41 And hee gaue them into the hande of the heathen: and they that hated them, were lordes ouer them.
੪੧ਉਹ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਵੱਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਕਰਨ।
42 Their enemies also oppressed them, and they were humbled vnder their hand.
੪੨ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਤਾਇਆ, ਅਤੇ ਓਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਹੇਠ ਅਧੀਨ ਹੋ ਗਏ।
43 Many a time did hee deliuer them, but they prouoked him by their counsels: therefore they were brought downe by their iniquitie.
੪੩ਬਹੁਤ ਵਾਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਛੁਡਾਇਆ, ਪਰ ਓਹ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਸਲਾਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਆਕੀ ਰਹੇ, ਓਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਬਦੀ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਹੀਣੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ।
44 Yet hee sawe when they were in affliction, and he heard their crie.
੪੪ਜਾਂ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਫ਼ਰਿਆਦ ਸੁਣੀ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਿਆ।
45 And he remembred his couenant towarde them and repented according to the multitude of his mercies,
੪੫ਉਹ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਨੇਮ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਕੀਤਾ, ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਬੇਹੱਦ ਦਯਾ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਤਰਸ ਖਾਧਾ।
46 And gaue them fauour in the sight of all them that lead them captiues.
੪੬ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੰਦੀ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਹਮ ਦੁਵਾਇਆ।
47 Saue vs, O Lord our God, and gather vs from among the heathen, that we may praise thine holy Name, and glorie in thy praise.
੪੭ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਸਾਨੂੰ ਬਚਾ ਲੈ! ਅਤੇ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਕਰ, ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕਰੀਏ, ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਉਸਤਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਫੁੱਲ ਫੁੱਲ ਬਹੀਏ!
48 Blessed be the Lord God of Israel for euer and euer, and let all the people say, So be it. Praise yee the Lord.
੪੮ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਆਦ ਤੋਂ ਅੰਤ ਤੱਕ ਮੁਬਾਰਕ ਹੋਵੇ! ਹੇ ਸਾਰੀ ਪਰਜਾ, ਆਖ “ਆਮੀਨ!” ਹਲਲੂਯਾਹ!।
