Psalms 106
1 Praise ye the Lord. Praise ye the Lord because he is good, for his mercie endureth for euer.
याहवेह की स्तुति हो! याहवेह का धन्यवाद करो-वे भले हैं; उनकी करुणा सदा की है.
2 Who can expresse the noble actes of the Lord, or shewe forth all his prayse?
किसमें क्षमता है याहवेह के महाकार्य को लिखने की अथवा उनका तृप्त स्तवन करने की?
3 Blessed are they that keepe iudgement, and doe righteousnesse at all times.
प्रशंसनीय हैं वे, जो न्याय का पालन करते हैं, जो सदैव वही करते हैं, जो न्याय संगत ही होता है.
4 Remember me, O Lord, with the fauour of thy people: visite me with thy saluation,
याहवेह, जब आप अपनी प्रजा पर कृपादृष्टि करें, तब मुझे स्मरण रखिए, जब आप उन्हें उद्धार दिलाएं, तब मेरा भी ध्यान रखें.
5 That I may see the felicitie of thy chosen, and reioyce in the ioy of thy people, and glorie with thine inheritance.
कि मैं आपके चुने हुओं की समृद्धि देख सकूं, कि मैं आपके राष्ट्र के आनंद में उल्लसित हो सकूं, कि मैं आपके निज भाग के साथ गर्व कर सकूं.
6 We haue sinned with our fathers: we haue committed iniquitie, and done wickedly.
हमने अपने पूर्वजों के समान पाप किए हैं; हमने अपराध किया है, हमारे आचरण में अधर्म था.
7 Our fathers vnderstoode not thy wonders in Egypt, neither remembred they the multitude of thy mercies, but rebelled at the Sea, euen at the red sea.
जब हमारे पूर्वज मिस्र देश में थे, उन्होंने आपके द्वारा किए गए आश्चर्य कार्यों की गहनता को मन में ग्रहण नहीं किया; उनके लिए आपके करुणा-प्रेम में किए गए वे अनेक हितकार्य नगण्य ही रहे, सागर, लाल सागर के तट पर उन्होंने विद्रोह कर दिया.
8 Neuerthelesse he saued them for his Names sake, that he might make his power to be knowen.
फिर भी परमेश्वर ने अपनी महिमा के निमित्त उनकी रक्षा की, कि उनका अतुलनीय सामर्थ्य प्रख्यात हो जाए.
9 And he rebuked the red Sea, and it was dryed vp, and he led them in the deepe, as in the wildernesse.
परमेश्वर ने लाल सागर को डांटा और वह सूख गया; परमेश्वर उन्हें उस गहराई में से इस प्रकार लेकर आगे बढ़ते गए मानो वे वन के मार्ग पर चल रहे हों.
10 And he saued them from ye aduersaries hand, and deliuered them from ye hand of the enemie.
परमेश्वर ने शत्रुओं से उनकी सुरक्षा की; उन्हें शत्रुओं के अधिकार से मुक्त कर दिया.
11 And the waters couered their oppressours: not one of them was left.
उनके प्रतिरोधी जल में डूब गए; उनमें से एक भी जीवित न रहा.
12 Then beleeued they his wordes, and sang prayse vnto him.
तब उन्होंने परमेश्वर की प्रतिज्ञाओं पर विश्वास किया और उनकी वंदना की.
13 But incontinently they forgate his workes: they wayted not for his counsell,
किंतु शीघ्र ही वह परमेश्वर के महाकार्य को भूल गए; यहां तक कि उन्होंने परमेश्वर के निर्देशों की प्रतीक्षा भी नहीं की.
14 But lusted with concupiscence in the wildernes, and tempted God in the desert.
जब वे बंजर भूमि में थे, वे अपने अनियंत्रित आवेगों में बह गए; उजाड़ क्षेत्र में उन्होंने परमेश्वर की परीक्षा ली.
15 Then he gaue them their desire: but he sent leannesse into their soule.
तब परमेश्वर ने उनकी अभिलाषा की पूर्ति कर दी; इसके अतिरिक्त परमेश्वर ने उन पर महामारी भेज दी.
16 They enuied Moses also in the tentes, and Aaron the holy one of the Lord.
मंडप निवासकाल में वे मोशेह और अहरोन से, जो याहवेह के अभिषिक्त थे, डाह करने लगे.
17 Therefore the earth opened and swallowed vp Dathan, and couered the companie of Abiram.
तब भूमि फट गई और दाथान को निगल गई; अबीराम के दल को उसने गाड़ दिया.
18 And the fire was kindled in their assembly: the flame burnt vp the wicked.
उनके अनुयायियों पर अग्निपात हुआ; आग ने कुकर्मियों को भस्म कर दिया.
19 They made a calfe in Horeb, and worshipped the molten image.
होरेब पर्वत पर उन्होंने बछड़े की प्रतिमा ढाली और इस धातु प्रतिमा की आराधना की.
20 Thus they turned their glory into the similitude of a bullocke, that eateth grasse.
उन्होंने परमेश्वर की महिमा का विनिमय उस बैल की प्रतिमा से कर लिया, जो घास चरता है.
21 They forgate God their Sauiour, which had done great things in Egypt,
वे उस परमेश्वर को भूल गए, जिन्होंने उनकी रक्षा की थी, जिन्होंने मिस्र देश में असाधारण कार्य किए थे,
22 Wonderous woorkes in the lande of Ham, and fearefull things by the red Sea.
हाम के क्षेत्र में आश्चर्य कार्य तथा लाल सागर के तट पर भयंकर कार्य किए थे.
23 Therefore he minded to destroy them, had not Moses his chosen stand in the breach before him to turne away his wrath, least he shoulde destroy them.
तब परमेश्वर ने निश्चय किया कि वह उन्हें नष्ट कर देंगे. वह उन्हें नष्ट कर चुके होते, यदि परमेश्वर के चुने मोशेह उनके और परमेश्वर के सत्यानाश प्रकोप के मध्य आकर, जलजलाहट को ठंडा न करते.
24 Also they contemned that pleasant land, and beleeued not his worde,
इसके बाद इस्राएलियों ने उस सुखदायी भूमि को निकम्मी समझा; उन्होंने परमेश्वर की प्रतिज्ञा पर विश्वास नहीं किया.
25 But murmured in their tentes, and hearkened not vnto the voice of the Lord.
अपने-अपने तंबुओं में वे कुड़कुड़ाते रहे, उन्होंने याहवेह की आज्ञाएं नहीं मानीं.
26 Therefore hee lifted vp his hande against them, to destroy them in the wildernesse,
तब याहवेह ने शपथ खाई, कि वह उन्हें बंजर भूमि में ही मिटा देंगे,
27 And to destroy their seede among the nations, and to scatter them throughout the countries.
कि वह उनके वंशजों को अन्य जनताओं के मध्य नष्ट कर देंगे और उन्हें समस्त पृथ्वी पर बिखरा देंगे.
28 They ioyned themselues also vnto Baalpeor, and did eate the offrings of the dead.
उन्होंने पओर के देवता बाल की पूजा-अर्चना की. उन्होंने उस बलि में से खाया, जो निर्जीव देवताओं को अर्पित की गई थी.
29 Thus they prouoked him vnto anger with their owne inuentions, and the plague brake in vpon them.
अपने अधर्म के द्वारा उन्होंने याहवेह के क्रोध को भड़का दिया, परिणामस्वरूप उनके मध्य महामारी फैल गई.
30 But Phinehas stoode vp, and executed iudgement, and the plague was staied.
तब फिनिहास ने सामने आकर मध्यस्थ का कार्य किया, और महामारी थम गई.
31 And it was imputed vnto him for righteousnes from generation to generation for euer.
उनकी इस भूमिका को पीढ़ी से पीढ़ी के लिए युक्त घोषित किया गया.
32 They angred him also at the waters of Meribah, so that Moses was punished for their sakes,
मेरिबाह जलाशय के निकट उन्होंने याहवेह के कोप को भड़काया, उनके कारण मोशेह पर संकट आ पड़ा,
33 Because they vexed his spirite, so that hee spake vnaduisedly with his lippes.
क्योंकि उन्होंने परमेश्वर के आत्मा के विरुद्ध बलवा किया था, और मोशेह ने बिन सोचे शब्द बोल डाले थे.
34 Neither destroied they the people, as the Lord had commanded them,
याहवेह के आदेश के अनुरूप उन्होंने उन लोगों की हत्या नहीं की,
35 But were mingled among the heathen, and learned their workes,
परंतु वे अन्य जनताओं से घुल-मिल गए और उन्होंने उनकी प्रथाएं भी अपना लीं.
36 And serued their idoles, which were their ruine.
उन्होंने उनकी प्रतिमाओं की आराधना की, जो उनके लिए फंदा बन गईं.
37 Yea, they offered their sonnes, and their daughters vnto deuils,
उन्होंने अपने पुत्र-पुत्रियों को प्रेतों के लिए बलि कर दिया.
38 And shed innocent blood, euen the blood of their sonnes, and of their daughters, whome they offred vnto the idoles of Canaan, and the lande was defiled with blood.
उन्होंने निर्दोषों का रक्त बहाया, अपने ही पुत्रों और पुत्रियों का रक्त, जिनकी उन्होंने कनान देश की प्रतिमाओं को बलि अर्पित की, और उनके रक्त से भूमि दूषित हो गई.
39 Thus were they steined with their owne woorkes, and went a whoring with their owne inuentions.
अपने कार्यों से उन्होंने स्वयं को भ्रष्ट कर डाला; उन्होंने अपने ही कार्यों के द्वारा विश्वासघात किया.
40 Therefore was the wrath of the Lord kindled against his people, and he abhorred his owne inheritance.
ये सभी वे कार्य थे, जिनके कारण याहवेह अपने ही लोगों से क्रोधित हो गए और उनको अपना निज भाग उनके लिए घृणास्पद हो गया.
41 And hee gaue them into the hande of the heathen: and they that hated them, were lordes ouer them.
परमेश्वर ने उन्हें अन्य राष्ट्रों के अधीन कर दिया, उनके विरोधी ही उन पर शासन करने लगे.
42 Their enemies also oppressed them, and they were humbled vnder their hand.
उनके शत्रु उन पर अधिकार करते रहे और उन्हें उनकी शक्ति के सामने समर्पण करना पड़ा.
43 Many a time did hee deliuer them, but they prouoked him by their counsels: therefore they were brought downe by their iniquitie.
कितनी ही बार उन्होंने उन्हें मुक्त किया, किंतु वे थे विद्रोह करने पर ही अटल, तब वे अपने ही अपराध में नष्ट होते चले गए.
44 Yet hee sawe when they were in affliction, and he heard their crie.
किंतु उनका संकट परमेश्वर की दृष्टि में था. तब उन्होंने उनकी पुकार सुनी;
45 And he remembred his couenant towarde them and repented according to the multitude of his mercies,
उनके कल्याण के निमित्त परमेश्वर ने अपनी वाचा का स्मरण किया, और अपने करुणा-प्रेम की परिणामता में परमेश्वर ने उन पर कृपा की.
46 And gaue them fauour in the sight of all them that lead them captiues.
परमेश्वर ने उनके प्रति, जिन्होंने उन्हें बंदी बना रखा था, उनके हृदय में कृपाभाव उत्पन्न किया.
47 Saue vs, O Lord our God, and gather vs from among the heathen, that we may praise thine holy Name, and glorie in thy praise.
याहवेह, हमारे परमेश्वर, हमारी रक्षा कीजिए, और हमें विभिन्न राष्ट्रों में से एकत्र कर लीजिए, कि हम आपके पवित्र नाम के प्रति आभार व्यक्त कर सकें और आपका स्तवन हमारे गर्व का विषय बन जाए.
48 Blessed be the Lord God of Israel for euer and euer, and let all the people say, So be it. Praise yee the Lord.
आदि से अनंत काल तक धन्य हैं. याहवेह, इस्राएल के परमेश्वर, इस पर सारी प्रजा कहे, “आमेन,” याहवेह की स्तुति हो.
