Psalms 103
1 A Psalme of David. My soule, prayse thou the Lord, and all that is within me, prayse his holy Name.
Von David. / Preise Jahwe, o meine Seele, / Und all mein Innres seinen heiligen Namen!
2 My soule, prayse thou the Lord, and forget not all his benefites.
Preise Jahwe, o meine Seele, / Und vergiß nicht all seiner Segenstaten!
3 Which forgiueth all thine iniquitie, and healeth all thine infirmities.
Er vergibt dir all deine Missetat, / Schafft all deiner Krankheit Heilung.
4 Which redeemeth thy life from the graue, and crowneth thee with mercy and compassions.
Er erlöset dein Leben vom Tode, / Krönt dich mit Huld und Erbarmen.
5 Which satisfieth thy mouth with good things: and thy youth is renued like the eagles.
Er sättigt dein Alter mit Gutem, / So daß deine Jugend sich wieder erneut / Wie eines Adlers Gefieder.
6 The Lord executeth righteousnes and iudgement to all that are oppressed.
Heilstaten vollführet Jahwe, / Recht schafft er allen Bedrückten.
7 He made his wayes knowen vnto Moses, and his workes vnto the children of Israel.
Mose tat er seine Wege kund, / Israels Söhnen sein herrliches Tun.
8 The Lord is full of compassion and mercie, slowe to anger and of great kindnesse.
Barmherzig und gnädig ist Jahwe, / Langmütig und reich an Huld.
9 He will not alway chide, neither keepe his anger for euer.
Er hat nicht für immer gehadert / Und nicht auf ewig gezürnt.
10 He hath not dealt with vs after our sinnes, nor rewarded vs according to our iniquities.
Nicht nach unsern Sünden hat er uns gelohnt, / Uns nicht vergolten nach unsern Vergehn.
11 For as high as the heauen is aboue ye earth, so great is his mercie toward them that feare him.
Sondern so hoch der Himmel ist über der Erde, / So mächtig war seine Huld bei den Frommen.
12 As farre as the East is from the West: so farre hath he remooued our sinnes from vs.
So weit der Osten vom Westen ist, / Hat er unsre Frevel von uns entfernt.
13 As a father hath compassion on his children, so hath the Lord compassion on them that feare him.
Wie sich ein Vater der Kinder erbarmt, / Hat Jahwe sich stets erbarmt seiner Frommen.
14 For he knoweth whereof we be made: he remembreth that we are but dust.
Er weiß ja, wie schwach wir sind, / Er gedenket daran: wir sind Staub.
15 The dayes of man are as grasse: as a flowre of the fielde, so florisheth he.
Eines Sterblichen Tage sind wie Gras, / Wie des Feldes Blume, so blüht er.
16 For the winde goeth ouer it, and it is gone, and the place thereof shall knowe it no more.
Fährt über sie ein Windstoß, so ist sie dahin, / Und es kennt sie nicht mehr ihre Stätte.
17 But the louing kindnesse of the Lord endureth for euer and euer vpon them that feare him, and his righteousnes vpon childrens children,
Doch Jahwes Gnade erzeigt sich auf ewig an seinen Frommen, / Seine Treue erfahren in jedem Geschlecht
18 Vnto them that keepe his couenant, and thinke vpon his commandements to doe them.
Alle, die seinen Bund bewahren / Und seiner Gebote gedenken, sie zu erfüllen.
19 The Lord hath prepared his throne in heauen, and his Kingdome ruleth ouer all.
Jahwe hat seinen Thron im Himmel errichtet, / Sein Königtum herrscht über alles.
20 Prayse the Lord, ye his Angels, that excell in strength, that doe his commandement in obeying the voyce of his worde.
Preist Jahwe, ihr seine Engel, / Ihr Helden an Kraft, die ihr sein Gebot vollführt, / Indem ihr dem Ruf seines Wortes gehorcht!
21 Prayse the Lord, all ye his hostes, ye his seruants that doe his pleasure.
Preist Jahwe, ihr seine Heere alle, / Seine Diener, die ihr seinen Willen vollstreckt!
22 Prayse the Lord, all ye his workes, in all places of his dominion: my soule, prayse thou the Lord.
Preist Jahwe, ihr seine Werke all, / An jedem Ort seines Herrschaftsgebiets! / Preise Jahwe auch meine Seele!
