Psalms 101

1 A Psalme of David. I will sing mercie and iudgement: vnto thee, O Lord, will I sing.

Cantarei a misericordia e o juizo: a ti, Senhor, cantarei.

2 I will doe wisely in the perfite way, till thou commest to me: I will walke in the vprightnes of mine heart in the middes of mine house.

Portar me-hei com intelligencia no caminho recto. Quando virás a mim? Andarei em minha casa com um coração sincero.

3 I wil set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the worke of them that fall away: it shall not cleaue vnto me.

Não porei coisa má diante dos meus olhos: aborreço a obra d'aquelles que se desviam; não se me pegará a mim.

4 A froward heart shall depart from me: I will knowe none euill.

Um coração perverso se apartará de mim: não conhecerei o homem mau

5 Him that priuily slandereth his neighbour, wil I destroy: him that hath a proude looke and hie heart, I cannot suffer.

Aquelle que murmura do seu proximo ás escondidas, eu o destruirei: aquelle que tem olhar altivo, e coração soberbo, não soffrerei.

6 Mine eyes shalbe vnto the faithfull of the lande, that they may dwell with me: he that walketh in a perfite way, he shall serue me.

Os meus olhos estarão sobre os fieis da terra, para que se assentem comigo: o que anda n'um caminho recto esse me servirá.

7 There shall no deceitful person dwell within mine house: he that telleth lyes, shall not remaine in my sight.

O que usa de engano não ficará dentro da minha casa: o que falla mentiras não está firme perante os meus olhos.

8 Betimes will I destroy all the wicked of the land, that I may cut off all the workers of iniquitie from the Citie of the Lord.

Pela manhã destruirei todos os impios da terra, para desarreigar da cidade do Senhor todos os que obram a iniquidade.
