Psalms 101

1 A Psalme of David. I will sing mercie and iudgement: vnto thee, O Lord, will I sing.

Psaume de David. Je veux chanter la bonté et la justice; C'est toi, ô Éternel, que je célébrerai.

2 I will doe wisely in the perfite way, till thou commest to me: I will walke in the vprightnes of mine heart in the middes of mine house.

Je m'appliquerai à suivre la voie de l'intégrité. Quand viendras-tu à moi? Je donnerai l'exemple d'une conduite intègre. Au sein de ma famille.

3 I wil set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the worke of them that fall away: it shall not cleaue vnto me.

Je chasserai de mon esprit toute pensée coupable. J'ai en horreur les actes d'iniquité: Ils n'ont aucun attrait pour moi.

4 A froward heart shall depart from me: I will knowe none euill.

Le coeur pervers s'éloignera de moi; Je ne connaîtrai point le mal.

5 Him that priuily slandereth his neighbour, wil I destroy: him that hath a proude looke and hie heart, I cannot suffer.

J'anéantirai celui qui parle en secret contre son prochain. Je ne supporterai pas le regard hautain. Ni le coeur enflé d'orgueil.

6 Mine eyes shalbe vnto the faithfull of the lande, that they may dwell with me: he that walketh in a perfite way, he shall serue me.

J'aurai les yeux sur les fidèles du pays, Pour les faire demeurer avec moi. Celui qui marche dans l'intégrité, celui-là me servira.

7 There shall no deceitful person dwell within mine house: he that telleth lyes, shall not remaine in my sight.

Celui qui use de tromperie n'habitera pas dans ma maison; Celui qui profère le mensonge Ne subsistera pas devant mes yeux.

8 Betimes will I destroy all the wicked of the land, that I may cut off all the workers of iniquitie from the Citie of the Lord.

Chaque matin, je détruirai tous les méchants du pays, Afin que tous les ouvriers d'iniquité Disparaissent de la cité de l'Éternel.
