Proverbs 5
1 My sonne, hearken vnto my wisedome, and incline thine eare vnto my knowledge.
Hijo mío, presta atención a mi sabiduría; deja que tu oído se vuelva a mi enseñanza:
2 That thou maiest regarde counsell, and thy lippes obserue knowledge.
para que seas gobernado por un propósito sabio, y tus labios mantengan el conocimiento.
3 For the lippes of a strange woman drop as an honie combe, and her mouth is more soft then oyle.
Porque la miel está cayendo de los labios de la mujer extraña, y su voz es más suave que el aceite;
4 But the end of her is bitter as wormewood, and sharpe as a two edged sworde.
Pero su fin es amargo como el ajenjo, y afilado como una espada de dos filos;
Sus pies descienden a la muerte, y sus pasos al inframundo; (Sheol h7585)
6 She weigheth not the way of life: her paths are moueable: thou canst not knowe them.
Ella nunca mantiene su mente en el camino de la vida; sus caminos son inciertos, ella no tiene conocimiento.
7 Heare yee me nowe therefore, O children, and depart not from the wordes of my mouth.
Escúchenme, hijos míos, y no guarden mis palabras de ustedes.
8 Keepe thy way farre from her, and come not neere the doore of her house,
Vete lejos de ella, no te acerques a la puerta de su casa;
9 Least thou giue thine honor vnto others, and thy yeeres to the cruell:
Por temor a dar tu honor a los demás, y tu riqueza a los hombres extraños:
10 Least the stranger should be silled with thy strength, and thy labours bee in the house of a stranger,
Y los hombres extraños se llene con tus riquezas, y el fruto de tu trabajo ir a la casa de los demás;
11 And thou mourne at thine end, (when thou hast consumed thy flesh and thy bodie)
Y estarás lleno de dolor al final de tu vida, cuando tu carne y tu cuerpo se envejezca;
12 And say, How haue I hated instruction, and mine heart despised correction!
Y dirás: ¿Cómo fue la enseñanza odiada por mí, y mi corazón no valoró el entrenamiento?
13 And haue not obeied the voyce of them that taught mee, nor enclined mine eare to them that instructed me!
¡No presté atención a la voz de mis maestros, mi oído no se dirigió a los que me guiaban!
14 I was almost brought into all euil in ye mids of the Congregation and assemblie.
Estaba en casi todas las maldades en compañía de la gente.
15 Drinke the water of thy cisterne, and of the riuers out of the middes of thine owne well.
Deja que el agua de tu cisterna y no la de los demás sea tu bebida y agua fluyendo de tu propia fuente.
16 Let thy fountaines flow foorth, and the riuers of waters in the streetes.
Que no fluyan tus manantiales en las calles, ni tus corrientes de agua en los lugares abiertos.
17 But let them bee thine, euen thine onely, and not the strangers with thee.
Déjales que sean solo para ti, no para otros hombres contigo.
18 Let thy fountaine be blessed, and reioyce with the wife of thy youth.
Deja que la bendición sea en tu fuente; ten gozo en la esposa de tus primeros años.
19 Let her be as the louing hinde and pleasant roe: let her brests satisfie thee at all times, and delite in her loue continually.
Como cierva amorosa y cierva amable, que sus pechos te den siempre deleite; deja que tu pasión sea movida en todo momento por su amor.
20 For why shouldest thou delite, my sonne, in a strange woman, or embrace the bosome of a stranger?
¿Por qué te permites, hijo mío, salir del camino con una mujer extraña, y tomar otra mujer en tus brazos?
21 For the waies of man are before the eyes of the Lord, and he pondereth all his pathes.
Porque los caminos del hombre están delante de los ojos del Señor, y él pone todas sus caminos en la balanza.
22 His owne iniquities shall take the wicked himselfe, and he shall be holden with the cordes of his owne sinne.
El malvado será tomado en la red de sus crímenes, y encarcelado en las cuerdas de su pecado.
23 Hee shall die for fault of instruction, and shall goe astray through his great follie.
El llegará a su fin por necesidad de enseñanza; él es tan tonto que irá vagando por el camino erróneo.
